Extension of stay based on current ext. Thai wife to retirement
Not sure if this helps but I'm now using the monthly income method although have used the combination & marriage methods in previous years. They are very helpful here in Krabi but it's def best to make everything as complete & clear as possible. Have bank statement printouts of each & every month and clearly 'highlight' each of your monthly bank overseas transfers/ deposits. I use different colour highlight pen for my transfers (I always use the 'Wise' service) & different colour for the corresponding deposits of the funds into the Thai bank account. I also number 1 to 12 each months transaction on the bank printouts & include a separate page for clarity with a summary simply listing each months date & amounts. -

Pattaya: Search For Culprit Who Muzzled 10 Dogs With Tape
Although it´s cruel, I can understand why as they might be barking all night. In an organized world, there would be no dogs running around barking, biting and chasing people in the cities. -

The Vanishing Hurricanes: A Quiet Season Baffles Forecasters
How sad. Instead of celebrating that less destruction will occur due to their forecasts being wrong, they want something horrendous to justify their big salaries. So, the computer models got it wrong; happy days for those that didn't lose their homes. Perhaps what is happening in Vietnam will cheer them up. -

Power Switching Under Load
What's the actual scenario? DC or AC breakers? (or AC breakers on a DC source - naughty) Are the warnings from the manufacturer or on an internet forum? If you can remove the load there's little doubt that switching "cold" can improve the life of the contacts (particularly of DC breakers), but I doubt the occasional switch under load is going to do much harm (I'm assuming decent quality breakers here). The issue with DC is that the arc, which should be extinguished in a properly designed DC breaker, is maintained with the breaker "off", this is not a good thing. -

To overstay for eight years must have been laying low and minding his own business. Eventually, trouble finds you with that lengthy of an overstay. Bonne chance Didier. -

Surround Bangkoks waterways with a high wall to keep out rising water levels.. great idea. And when it hammers down with rain where does all the flood water inside the wall go? -

Baht becoming ridiculously strong
It definitely isn't ' the dollar going down, it is the THB going up which is the weird thing. And this since the soft coup and the political turmoil. 2 THB less per euro in just 6 weeks, that's more than a 5% difference in a very short time. Imagine if you ordered a new villa in Phuket for 50M and suddenly it is the equivalent of 2,5 Million THB more expensive in Euro's a few weeks later when you order the transfer. Let's hope things go back to normal soon. -

How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
It still confuses me why Farangs still recommend olive oil here. It will usually be adulterated and expensive or unadulterated and VERY expensive. Coconut oil is a much better solution. -
