Unidentified Woman Found Dead on Kata Beach in Phuket

Early this morning at Kata Beach, Phuket, a lifeguard discovered the body of a woman. Local police from Karon are investigating the case.

The deceased, clothed in a black bikini, is around 30 years old, about 160cm tall, and has long black hair. Her body was found face down on the sand, opposite the Club Med Hotel.

No visible injuries were found on the woman's body and no identification was discovered at the scene, leaving the police puzzled. Initial investigations imply that she might have gone swimming alone at the beach and was overcome by large waves. Red flags, signaling dangerous conditions, are currently being flown along the beach due to heavy seas and strong winds that discourage swimming.

In an attempt to identify the victim and find out her nationality, the police are getting in touch with hotels and resorts located along Kata Beach.
