Report Thai Police Capture Notorious Chinese National Linked to Major Scams
Picture courtesy of KhaoSod In a significant crackdown on international crime, Thai police have detained Wu Feng Ma, also known as Amah or Afei, a 41-year-old Chinese national, in Bangkok's Din Daeng district. Ma is reportedly a central figure in a call centre scam defrauding Chinese citizens of over 10 billion baht (approximately US$306 million) and is also suspected of facilitating illegal Chinese migration into neighbouring countries. The arrest was spearheaded by high-ranking officials, including Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, and Police Colonel Warut Kumla of the Metropolitan Police Division 3. The Mae Sot Provincial Court issued the warrant for Ma's arrest on February 16, on charges related to harbouring illegal immigrants. The investigation began on March 3, 2022, when immigration authorities in Tak province intercepted Ekkanat, who was channeling three illegal Chinese immigrants in a Toyota taxi. Tracing his actions unveiled a wider network involving multiple suspects, such as Pittiphat and Laoching, and culminated in linking Ma to these activities. Financial transactions monitored by authorities showed Ma's involvement in funding accommodation and logistics for the illicit operations. Further intelligence revealed Ma's ownership of an illicit entertainment venue raided on November 5 last year. The raid uncovered 31 illegal tourists and staff, in addition to drugs and paraphernalia, thereby cementing Ma's connection to widespread criminal activity. Communication with Chinese authorities shed light on Ma's extended operations involving a sophisticated call centre fraud network targeting Wuhan, China, making him a prime suspect in both countries. He is also linked to human trafficking activities extending into Myanmar. Moreover, investigations revealed ties between Ma and Ekkanat, a former navy officer implicated in the murder of Lim Kimya, a former Cambodian opposition member of parliament in January. Ma's presence at a hotel booked by Ekkanat in Chiang Rai around this time has further mired him in cross-border criminal undertakings. Ma is currently in custody, preparing for transfer to the Mae Sot Police Station in Chiang Rai for further investigation and legal proceedings. This arrest marks a critical step in multinational efforts to dismantle organized crime networks exploiting legal loopholes and affecting victims across borders. Anyone know of the best place to get a high CBD product with a small dose of THC?
I am suffering from osteo-arthritis in both knee caps which makes it hard for me to walk very far, even with a walking stick. I would like to try cannabis oil to see if it is any use as a pain reliever. I live in rural Kamphaeng Phet about 65km from the city but I have not found anywhere yet that sells it. There is some CBD oil available on Lazada which I can order but I would like to know if it is worth ordering it. -

Community Teacher Beats 7-Year-Old with Metal Ruler, Says “Let Her Die” , Mother Files Police Report
Child abuse? Fire and stove? When was the last time you worked with up to 60 kids in a classroom? I myself never layed a heated hand on any of my students, but I remember in high school, one teacher used to use the huge blackboard ruler and cut it across your bum. A few of those made people very humble and quietened the idiots so the teacher could teach. So let's have your worldly experience on teaching or controlling mobs. -

Finance Foreign Nationals Face Account Bans in Bangkok Bank Crackdown
You ignore that most Thai authorities, including banks, usually use the label "tourist" for every foreigner who doesn't have a WP. (Even PR does not exist in the views of some Thai bureaucrats, there are some hilarious posts about this) All those smug posters full of schadenfreude who think they are safe with an retirement visa, they really think in the eyes of Thais they are something better than a tourist? Remember, what the banks really have always wanted was a WP. BTW, even tourists may want a coffee at Starbucks. Starbucks doesn't accept cash. I bought spring rolls yesterday, could only pay by scan (prompt pay).
