Squat’s going on: Thai couple trash house in Chiang Mai
Police officers are searching for a Thai ladyboy and her boyfriend after the couple took over a house in the northern province of Chiang Mai, living there like homeowners for nearly a month. The rightful owner of the house filed a complaint with Mae Rim Police Station after learning about the trespassing couple from his gardener yesterday, September 12. The gardener finished his work and was about to leave the property when he noticed the back door was open. The gardener decided to enter the house and check inside. He found the house had been trashed, with rubbish and objects scattered across the floor. Suspecting an intruder, he reported the matter to the homeowner, who lives in another province. The homeowner revealed in an interview with Chiang Mai News that he bought the house 10 years ago and visits the property every three to six months. He hired the gardener to maintain the trees and grass outside the house twice a year. The homeowner contacted his neighbours and discovered that they also heard noises from the house. He asked the neighbours to investigate but the intruders managed to escape, leaving behind their belongings and a mess. Police inspected the house and collected rubbish, including soft drink cans, hair, underwear, and used cotton buds, for forensic analysis. Officers also found urine and faeces in several areas of the house because the intruders were unable to access water, as its main valve was shut off. Officers believe the intruders did not intend to rob the property, as all valuables were left untouched. According to the homeowner, the intruders might have sneaked into the property and stayed there for nearly a month before the discovery. The owner’s last visit was in July this year. Police requested to review security camera footage from locals in the area and discovered that there were two intruders, not just one. They were identified as a ladyboy and another man believed to be her boyfriend. In the footage, the ladyboy is seen wearing a black skirt and a purple T-shirt, walking out of the house calmly and pretending to be part of the community. However, locals confirmed that she was not a resident of the neighbourhood. PM Paetongtarn's Policy Statement critisised as Echo of Thaksin’s Vision
MFP had the most votes by any single party, yes. 10 more than PT. BUT they didn’t have the majority. They were first to be offered to form a coalition government but they failed. So technically they became the opposition. please google the Westminster model of parliamentary elections and system if you can’t understand this -

Perhaps the problem may be you. I've never found any problem with the very helpful, informed, English-speaking call centre Thai staff in many years as a Dtac user as long as you select the English language option when calling or, if you cannot cope with that, learn to speak Thai. -

Scammers arrested in Bangkok for conning elderly woman
Thai police arrested a group involved in a romance scam targeting an elderly woman. The scammer, posing as a discharged soldier from Yemen, promised to transfer her US dollars but asked if she could pay currency tax on the money first, leading to the victim losing 23,000 baht. Police Major General Theeradej Thammasuthee, along with his team, yesterday, September 12, ordered the arrest of 22 year old Teerapat from Ubon Ratchathani. Teerapat was detained at a parking lot in Suan Phueng Pattanakarn, Bangkok, under charges of fraud and inputting false information into a computer system, which could harm the public. The case began when the 70 year old woman reported to the police that she had received messages from a Facebook user named Sansern Apichat. The scammer, claiming to be a discharged soldier from Yemen, convinced the victim he would send her money in US dollars. However, he deceived her into paying 23,000 baht in taxes to the Thai government, split into two payments of 15,000 baht and 8,000 baht. After making these payments, the victim could no longer contact the scammer, prompting her to file a complaint with the police. Teerapat confessed during the interrogation that he had encountered a Facebook post last year that offered money in exchange for opening bank accounts. He agreed to open three bank accounts and register applications linked to these accounts, receiving 3,000 baht for his services. “Initially, the suspect claimed he needed money and thus agreed to the arrangement, providing his bank details and setting up the accounts.” The police have transferred Teerapat to Khu Khot Police Station for further legal action. Police Major General Theeradej warned the public about romance scams, emphasising that these fraudsters often target individuals seeking love on dating applications and social media platforms. “Romance scammers use sweet talk and promises to lure their victims, who are often single, divorced, widowed, elderly, or simply vulnerable individuals looking for genuine connections. We urge everyone to be cautious online. Remember: ‘Don’t believe, don’t rush, don’t transfer money.’” The police are continuing their investigation to identify other members of the scam ring and to provide justice to the victims. They stress the importance of public awareness and vigilance in preventing such scams, encouraging people to report suspicious online activities immediately, reported KhaoSod. Bangkok taxi driver berates passenger over travel distance
A taxi passenger in Bangkok shared a harrowing experience where the driver shouted and insulted him, even refusing to stop the car. The passenger complained to the taxi company, only to be told there was no driver by that name. A TikTok user recently posted a video capturing a distressing encounter with a taxi driver. The driver was seen shouting and cursing at the passenger after a dispute over the correct distance to the destination. The passenger had marked the location at 8.9 kilometres, whereas the driver insisted it was 15 kilometres. The passenger described the incident with a caption warning others about “mentally unstable taxi drivers,” expressing shock and distress over the encounter. The passenger, who spoke to a local news outlet yesterday, September 12, recounted their ordeal. They had travelled from a provincial area to Bangkok for work, landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Since the hotel they booked did not allow check-in before 2pm, he searched for a nearby café to complete some urgent work. He found a café on Bang Na-Trat Road, 8.9 kilometres away from the airport. Around noon, after collecting their luggage, the passenger proceeded to the taxi stand on the third floor, at Gate 2. They encountered two taxis: a new white MG EV taxi and a pink taxi. The drivers of both vehicles were arguing over who arrived first. Out of politeness, the passenger chose the white taxi, as the driver claimed he had arrived first. Initially, the driver seemed polite, helping with the luggage. However, as they started the journey, the driver began complaining about the other taxi, accusing the driver of queue-jumping. The passenger, preoccupied with work-related calls, did not pay much attention. Distance dispute The situation escalated when the driver questioned the exact location of the destination. Using his phone’s voice command, he marked the distance as 15 kilometres. The passenger, seeing a different distance on their map, mentioned it was 8.9 kilometres. The driver became agitated, insisting it was 15 kilometres and questioning why the passenger would argue with someone who drives that route daily. The passenger refreshed their phone map, which then also showed 15 kilometres, so they remained silent. However, the driver continued to use abusive language, calling the passenger names and criticising his intelligence. The passenger, trying to remain calm, acknowledged the 15 kilometres and asked to focus on his work. The driver’s behaviour worsened as he began cursing the passenger’s parents. The passenger was in shock and unable to react. He inadvertently recorded the incident on his phone. Upon reaching the destination near Central Village, the driver refused to stop initially, eventually pulling over and demanding 125 baht. The passenger, lacking cash, asked to pay via a banking app, which the driver initially resisted, accusing him of trying to evade payment. After some back-and-forth, the driver provided his bank details, and the passenger transferred the fare. The driver, still hostile, delayed unlocking the car to retrieve the passenger’s luggage. The passenger, exhausted from the journey, struggled to take a photo of the taxi due to shaky hands but the vehicle had already driven away. The passenger later relayed the incident to his sister, who suggested posting the story on social media. They also searched for the taxi company to lodge a formal complaint, providing the driver’s name from the bank transfer slip. The company responded, stating the vehicle belonged to them but denying any knowledge of the driver, reported KhaoSod. This incident left the passenger feeling deeply unjust. The abusive behaviour over a minor misunderstanding seemed excessive, and the passenger sensed the driver might have mental health issues. Not elected? Everyone of them were including the scums from PPRP. I know you wanted MFP be the government but they couldn’t form one when given the chance so they only got themselves to blame. PT have as much legitimacy to be the government too and MFP were offered first dips but couldn’t complete the task.
