Thailand's New PM Outlines Bold 10-Point Plan to Revamp Economy
Long story. The biggest missing project is a pension fund. In former times there was a Thai family with at least 3 kids who were supposed to support their parents in old age. Sharing the burden. However, that's past and the present show families with only one child who can't afford to send money later for 2 old parents. The current system with 1000 Baht is a joke. So to implement taxed income could be a good idea if the money would be used solely for a pension fund. However.....๐ณ -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
Hey everyone! ๐ I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the members here who contributed to this thread! Your input was incredibly helpful and guided me through the DTV-visa process. Iโd like to share my experience too, I hope it might help someone else. After reading through the thread, I decided to apply for my DTV visa in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam because (1) the requirements were clearly outlined earlier in this thread and (2) I had heard from a few buddies of mine who successfully obtained their DTV visas there. Hereโs a quick overview of my situation: I'm a non-EU, non-American citizen working remotely for a large American IT company. Entered Thailand on a 60-day visa exemption a month ago and stayed until I traveled to Vietnam. I was aiming at the 'Workcation' type of the visa. So I booked an appointment online through the Consulate website and prepared the following documents: Visa Application Form Special for Ho Chi Minh Thai consulate, downloadable here, with a 4x6 cm photo glued in. Certification of Work Letter Issued a week before the appointment date, mentioning my position, salary, and confirmation that Iโm allowed to work remotely from Thailand. Contract Quite standard and general, outlining parties' terms with the official signature and stamp. Bank Statement A 6-month statement from my Wise account showing a balance over 15,500 USD, issued a week before the appointment date. Proof of Bank Account Standard evidence doc from Wise proving I am the owner of the account. Rental Agreement A 1-year lease for my house in Thailand, expiring in 10 months. I made right after I arrived to Thailand. 340 USD in Cash The visa application fee. I exchanged the currency at one of the Vietnamese authorized currency exchange counters (see here),. Upon arrival at the Consulate at the appointed time I showed the email on my phone confirming my appointment to the guard, who let me in. At the counter, I informed them that I wanted a DTV visa. They first asked for my passport and then the documents. Although they didnโt specify exactly which documents they needed, so I went ahead and gave them one by one as if it were up to me. The staff member carefully checked that my first name, last name, and passport number matched across all documentsโthat was essentially the entire verification process. Then I handed over $340, but there was a small issue. The staff thoroughly examined the banknotes and discovered some tiny pencil marks (which I hadnโt noticed when I received them from the exchange counter). The staff member said they only accept clean banknotes and returned them to me. Concerned because I didnโt have any other USD cash, I examined the notes and found the marks. I asked if they had an eraser, and they provided one. So I erased the marks, returned the banknotes and they accepted then. Finally, I received a receipt with a date to collect my passport (in 2 working days). The entire process took about 5 minutes. Two days later, I came back and got my passport with the visa! The strange thing though is the government sticker that was stamped right over the expiration year. I only noticed this after leaving the consulate, so it was too late to ask. I flew back to Thailand the next day and had absolutely no issues at the border. They simply asked if it was my first DTV visa (which seemed like a random question). I answered yes, and they stamped a 180-day stay permission in my passport. That was it. -

'Love tourists': Single men travelling overseas to find a bride
To be fair, I appreciate that that that you are attempting to actually have a discussion. Yes, I could have elaborated, but I'm often quite busy doing other things. -

Who is the CIA FBI
it is "Iglesia Ni Cristo" something like Asian Opus Dei. Hard core Catholicism, my son's nanny was one of those. CIA is about money, huge sums from the US gov. to establish "democracy and freedom" >>> in fact ugly puppets to loot their own countries. Sometimes they show miracles like Twin Towers & kerosene kaboom and similar. Who are they? I guess heartless and greedy bureaucrats. -

Trying to find a bicycle that is comfortable to ride
+1 on Decathlon. I'm looking at bikes in China and the lower priced Rockriders look to be an excellent value. I just can't get over the hurdle that I have a serviceable bike from years ago... Though I bought it when my biking needs were different, and I don't ride as much as I'd like because it's not so comfortable any more. But I'm a cheap bustard. Back in the states, I have a cheap Specialized of the same basic genre. I put a comfier seat on it and I love it. -

Who is the CIA FBI
CIA: Open source information is a large part of the intelligence gathering community. It began during WW 2 as the Foreign Broadcast Information Service. It is now called the Open Source Center. I've seen FBIS at an average of 12 to 15 locations worldwide. I recall seeing FBIS BANGKOK, FBIS OKINAWA, FBIS TOKYO, FBIS LONDON, FBIS VIENNA, and FBIS CHIVA CHIVA in Panama. Foreign nationals work in these CIA managed centers. Media is evaluated, translated, and in my time sent out as teletype messages. When I work U.S. Southern Command in Quarry Heights, Panama we would average 300 FBIS messages received daily. NSA: NSA also collects intelligence. Their automation filters more time sensitive data both tactical and strategic. Data is collected and disseminated via front channel and back channel means. In my time in the 1970s and 1980s the means used was the AUTODIN (Automatic Digital Network) and separate networks. FBI: The FBI does have a presence outside of the U.S. There are LEGATs or Legal Attaches (might have that acronym incorrect) at several American embassies. Of course in modern times email networks have largely replaced the teletype store and forward message processing. However, dedicated networks do exist outside of the email networks. Are you "all in" in your relationship?
I'm all in 21 years married no children and I've never loved my wife more. Sickening isn't it. It's the biggest choice of your life if you seek happiness - my first one was my worst choice and I've airbrushed her out of my past. -

'Love tourists': Single men travelling overseas to find a bride
It's no surprise to me as to how many are triggered by my point of view. I quite sure that I have more people in my life who actually like and love me, than you do. I'm not trying to be friends with losers. -
