I think we should restrict voting rights to childless cat ladies.....at least in the US....just imagine how much more pleasant life would become.

That you come up with such an idea must mean you are American.

And one of those Americans that I would prefer not to have a vote if you continue to claim to be the unelected, self appointed Police of the World.

Getyour own house in order before telling others what to do.

Jeez, you ever wonder what your life would be like if the USA didn’t exist? You post is a good example of the discussion here.

IMO those two have been in charge of the US ever since 1963.

Yep - I agree.

The average Australian IQ is 99. The US is 98. Trump supporters are 3-4 points lower.

Our population is 26 million. 74 million voted for Trump in 2019.

We can't balance it out, we are  outnumbered 3:1 by the stupids.

How kindly of you to attempt to denigrate others... minus ten % for your performance.

No Vietnam war, no Gulf war 1 and 2, no israel/ Arab wars, no wasteful overuse of resources, less pollution, no rise of China. Sounds pretty good to me.

The article specifically calls out your insane Orange A-hole cult leader as the prime example. As well as your Redneck Goddess of Grotesque, M.T. Greene. :coffee1:

Name calling as shown above is another fine example of being absent of knowledge of what they speak. It’s good that we have people here that can demonstrate what the discussion here is about!!! Thank you!

Republican score slightly higher than those who identify as Democrat; the unadjusted differences are 1–3 IQ points, 2–4 IQ points and 2–3 IQ points,

Minor difference according to the survey. However, the conclusion is counter intuitive given the support for trump and his utterly ridiculous claims and conspiracy theories. Logic informs his supporters overall have a lower IQ. as does trump actually suggest "I love the poorly educated".

Conservatives have higher IQs. Australia is 50% bogan.

Incorrect. As a broad measure USA has approx 32.7% uni educated. Australia has around 50.8% uni educated.

Do you have a problem with fly over states?

We appear to be better at a lot of things than the USA, which only serves to demonstrate the stupidity of your post.

Example: Your average life expectancy is 77.5 years. Ours is is 83.9 years. Care to explain that?

The US is better in economics and all that good stuff.

GDP per Capital (USD)

USA $85,373

AU   $64,712

Plus, the US has freedom of speech.

Huh?  Getting a college education does not make a person smart.

Luckily the vast majority of stupid people already live in America.

The US put a man on the moon in 1969, invented GPS and the Internet.

What bunch of stupid people.

Anyone that supported Biden and will vote for Harris are too dumb to grade IMO.

Take a look at this video of Sky News. The guy at 2.47 minutes is unbelievable, both in stupidity and scariness.

Takes the sobriquet of d!ckhead to a whole new level.

You seem to spend the extra dosh on becoming lardasses.

What makes you think Australia does not have freedom of speech?

I agree which is why it should not be up to one person.

I also believe that a war should not be declared unless the people that vote for have to enlist their military age children to serve in the front line.

Ideally, yes. There might be issues like, given that the US has a volunteer army, from a legal standpoint how can the child of a high-ranking politician be forced to serve if the child of a bus driver can choose not to. But the bus driver of course doesn’t have a say in policy (other than having one vote out of tens of millions in the next election).

It’s good to look for any possible disincentives. I often wonder, especially in unjust or unnecessary wars (as most wars are), why the soldiers themselves fight, why they shoot at perfect strangers who have done them no personal harm. I’ve never been in a war (never even fired a gun), and it all seems so irrational.

Wars are all about theft. Land, water, resources. Some are even fought over religion, which is utterly deranged.

Old men send young men into wars, then stage ceremonies when they die to honor them.

IMO there would be far fewer wars if those old men had to stand in the front line.

I think the west has gone insane, not just americans

Like the airplane?

IIRC it was either Germany or Britain that came up with the first jet.

I don't recall America inventing radar or decryption either. Charles Babbage came up with the first computer.
