Good day,

I am about to do my 2nd extension on my Non-O visa based on being married.

My problem is I am leaving the country in a bit more than 3 weeks.

Last year it took a whole month to get the remaining 11 months stamped into my passport.

Any possibility that the second time the process is a bit faster?

Have you previously obtained 60 day extension to visit wife.

You could obtain that and push your extension time to allow for trip.

The under consideration period is generally one month.

Thanks guys for your replies.

I did the 60 days in the past and I guess that's my only option here. 😔

If you have previously obtained a 60 day extension to visit wife you cannot obtain a second 60 day extension to your current permission of stay.

I have been a bit too quick with my reply.  👍

I did a 60 days extension years ago so I know that it exist.

That will be my solution this time.

you are allowed one 60 day wife extension per entry into Thailand, excluding re-entry permit entries,

It doesn't matter how many years.  If you have been on a continuous extensions-of-stay since you got that 60-day extension, they don't allow a 2nd one.   If you left w/o a re-entry permit, and came back on a new visa or visa-exempt - "started over" - then you can do it.

Ironically, if using a Non-O-ME Visa, you can get one on every entry, as they are "new entries to Thailand."  But on extensions of stay, exit/enter with re-entry permit doesn't "count" as a new-entry.

OTOH, you could try, and hope they don't look back that far in the database - assuming your current passport doesn't show that 60-day extension, and they don't ask to see your old passport.

The first part of your post correct.

Immigration will look for previous 60 day extension.

It will be denied

Op stated this was only his 2nd extension and his last 60 day extension was years ago.

That suggests it was prior to receiving his current Non O and subsequent extension of stay, during a previous visit or different visa.
