Yeah, yucking it up with Elon bragging about firing an employee who was organizing a union was not a good look.

 

But then there is little blowback on Trump's idiotic behavior and comments.

 

The National Labor Relations Board on Thursday upheld a 2019 ruling that Tesla had illegally fired a worker involved in union organizing and that the company’s chief executive, Elon Musk, had illegally threatened workers with the loss of stock options if they unionized.

 

The board ruled that the worker, Richard Ortiz, must be reinstated with back pay, and that Mr. Musk must delete his tweet. The company must also post a notice committing not to violate labor law in the future and announcing that it will undertake the mandated remedies.

Support for Unions Hits 70-Year High as US Workers See Power of Organized Labor

Despite corporate-backed efforts to erode union power in the United States for more than a century, U.S. public support for organized labor is higher than it's been in seven decades, according to a survey published ahead of Monday's Labor Day holiday.

 

The annual Gallup Labor Day poll revealed that 70% of Americans approve of labor unions, while 23% disapprove. That's up from last year's 67% approval rate. Two years ago, 71% of survey respondents said they were pro-union, but 26% disapproved, meaning this year's 47-point approval margin was slightly wider than in 2022.

It was a major coup for the GOP to have to have the Teamsters president speak at the convention, and of course the reason he did so was that almost 40% of registered voters who are Union members are in the Republican Party.

 

Trump has long had a special bond with the forgotten working man, which is why working class voters love him so.

 

This will be very useful when election day comes, I see Trump is already soaring ahead of Harris in the swing states in the latest polls.
