Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
Well said motdaeng. RW: Surely you must realise that Immigration sees the financial status of all foreigners on long stay visa's and that information is relayed to the TRD, in order to help decide tax policy. TRD knows with great certainty that historically, the average retiree came here and lived on about 65k per month, the same today as a middle class Thai's might earn, perhaps 50k a month for married foreigners. Thailand has been a historically cheap place to live, less so today as inflation has increased. Trying to aim tax policy at wealthy westerner retirees is a futile and pointless exercise, that is the group that is the smallest and the most mobile. The average foreign retiree will end up paying little or no tax, the TRD knows this otherwise they would be seen as a pirah in the eyes of the international community. The more wealthy group may need to cough up but that the price they pay from trying to escape tax by living here in the first place. And if none of that sits well with you, there's always, dear old home sweet home, back across the water. -

Watch: Melania Trump Condemns FBI Mar-a-Lago Raid: ‘A Warning to All Americans’
Yes, she has a book to sell and these videos will no doubt contribute to sales revenue. But there is also the possibility that he paid her to be vocal, thinking that it would help his losing campaign. By now, we know for certain that DJ Trump is not opposed to paying women for "services rendered". -

Is the Tax compliance going to be linked to Visa issuance ?
In the case where a monetary gift is given and received to / from overseas bank accounts, between spouses, and then remitted to Thailand by the gift recipient, do you see a need for the contract / documentation? Especially since it was done overseas, logically cannot see how having it notarized by a Thai lawyer, in that case, would make sense? I expect the documentation is only needed, in the unlikely event this specific remittance is ever questioned. Assuming the gift is under the thresholds, it never gets declared, it wasn't given / received in Thailand. The proceeds were simply remitted to Thailand. -

BREAKING NEWS Second Assassination Attempt-Secret Service get Trump to safety
Where are there open borders? An open border means that one can cross without difficulty. Crossing into the USA still requires passing border security. Europe's Schengen Area is a region where borders are relatively open among member countries. Since May 12, 2023 and through February 29, 2024, DHS has removed or returned over 593,000 individuals, the vast majority of whom crossed the southwest border. The border crossings who do not comply with US rules are getting stopped and tossed out. -
