Two Russian nationals working for a news network controlled by Vladimir Putin's government funneled millions of dollars to an American media company that paid right-wing influencers for videos pushing narratives favorable to the Kremlin, U.S. prosecutors alleged on Wednesday.

Quote

The two defendants worked for RT, a media outlet formerly known as Russia Today that is funded and controlled by the Russian government, the indictment said.

Federal prosecutors said RT oversaw a series of "covert projects" that included funneling $10 million through a series of shell entities to a Tennessee-based company launched in 2023 that publishes videos on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X, formerly known as Twitter.

Tankie Tim is off to the FBI to provide assistance, more likely a plea deal. He might be facing time inside after accepting apparently $400k from Russia.

Most of it would be via the wingnut wurlizer.  They post it and then it gets passed around and reposted thousands of times, so you don't always know where it originally came from.

MAGA world lacks critical thinking skills and seems incapable of independent though, so they are easy to convince of just about anything after they see it reposted a few times.

Nothing new about this news, just a change of details.  And why didn't the following administration do anything about it?

Obama slaps Russia with expulsions and broad sanctions for meddling in the U.S. election

These incels were getting huge sums for posting hacked-up video collages, wouldn't you?

Why was Putin paying for people to post right wing propaganda?

Ah yes  Rand Paul is so deep into it, it is coming out of his eyelids. Putin keeps that money flowing to the US Right wing Republicans.
