Residents Alarmed as Three Dangerous Dogs Escape, Attack Locals and Pets - Two Captured

Three dangerous dogs escaped from an unknown owner in the Thewi Park Village area of Bang Saray, Sattahip District, Chonburi, causing panic among local residents. The dogs aggressively chased and attacked both locals and pets, prompting action by the authorities.

 

The incident, which began late evening on September 7, was first reported on the Kled Kaew Subdistrict Municipality’s Facebook page, urging residents in the village to stay vigilant. The public was warned to avoid the area after receiving reports that the dogs were roaming the streets, threatening the safety of people and animals alike.

 

 

By the morning of September 8, Mr. Yosawat Phuwaratlerdkun, Mayor of Kled Kaew Municipality, led a team of officers from the Public Health and Environment Division, along with disaster prevention staff, to search for the dangerous dogs. They managed to locate the three dogs, all females aged 2-3 years.

 

With the help of the Sattahip District Livestock Department and local administrative officials, the authorities deployed tranquilizer darts to safely subdue the dogs. Two of the dogs were successfully tranquillised and captured, while the third managed to flee into the nearby forest, remaining at large. The search for the final dog is ongoing, and local authorities continue to monitor the area to ensure public safety.

 

No one has come forward to claim ownership of the three dogs. The two captured dogs are currently being kept in secure enclosures while efforts are made to locate their owner. If no one claims them, the dogs will be transferred to a local stray animal shelter.

 

Authorities urge the public to remain cautious, and anyone with information regarding the dog’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the local municipality for assistance.

Why ? If they are dangerous they should be humanely put down.

 

Secondly , if the owner is traced they should be given a very hefty fine to cover the costs of the authorities plus discourage ownership of these dangerous animals. If people knew you would definitely  be fined 50,000 baht per dog should it escape they might be a lot more careful about securing them. This would have cost the owner a 150,000 baht fine .

It needs a sea change in attitude, which may come about through training.

 

Personally I would like to see dog registration and licencing be made compulsory. Every dog chipped, compulsory insurance and compulsory medical checks/vaccinations. 

 

Those steps alone would ensure the dog population was decimated.

Where another unsuspecting person will be lumbered with them, I doubt they will be told the reason why they are in a animal shelter.

Bang Saray is not a massively populated area.

It reports that the dogs were safely subdued and immediately follows that only 2 were tranquillised and captured!
So, the dogs were NOT safely subdued, 2 dogs were.

If a farang had clipped one with his car, the queue of owners would be round the block.  No owner is going to come forward to face claims for compensation/medical attention for the victims.

Get rid of them and tell all those tree huggers, do-gooders and doggie-rescuers, that a dog is a dog and a human being is a human being. And unless they are all vegetarian, there is absolutely no reason for not putting such "pets" down in the interest of public safety.

Why treat all dogs the same when it's one type that's causing the problems?

 

Ban the dogs that are bred to kill and do most of the disfiguring and killing.
