What You Need to Know When Buying Thai Cannabis in 2025
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Always interesting to hear different experiences and perspectives as the scene keeps evolving. I can definitely see where you are coming from. At the end of the day, quality tends to speak for itself. In my experience, even when prices are low, the flower that sticks around and builds a following is usually the stuff that tastes right, smells right, and smokes clean. Anything heavily treated or off tends to get spotted pretty quickly. Bad batches do not last long once word gets out. You make a good point about the possibility of leftover export crops finding their way into the local market. Although in practice, from what I have seen, seriously tainted or heavily chemical-treated flower tends to announce itself pretty loudly. Between unusual smells, harshness on the throat, strange flavors, and poor burn quality, it is not exactly easy for bad product to hide for long, even from casual users. I also think local customers are much more knowledgeable than they sometimes get credit for. Between visual checks, smell, and taste, it is tough for truly bad product to slip by unnoticed these days. And with so much competition, it feels like the market naturally weeds out (no pun intended) the rough stuff fairly quickly. Sure, you might run into a sketchy batch here and there, but the idea that the whole budget side of the market is flooded with chemical disasters does not really match what I have personally experienced or seen. Some of the best cannabis I have had in Thailand has actually been at the much lower cost end of the spectrum, and some of the most disappointing flower I have come across has been priced well above what I would consider fair market price. Appreciate the positive discussion. Always good to hear different sides. -
