Residence certificate with Tourist Visa?
I can confirm that you CAN get a Certificate of Residence from Chaengwattana on any entry stamp WITH a TM30 <- they use that address to mail the COR to you. There is no negotiation on needing it. You need one or you can't get a COR You have copies of the data page of your passport, your visa/entry stamp, your TM30, fill out the application form, pay 200 baht get a receipt and a Thai Post EMS tracking number They mail the certificate to you in about 5 days.. Just was with someone who applied this Monday from a visa exempt 60 day entry (actually a 30 day extension on that entry) and they got the certificate today actually 🙂 -

Clinic Raided for Operating Without a License, Doctor Has Fake Credentials: Bang Saray

The clinic’s doctor was discovered to be using a fake medical license. The suspects have confessed, and multiple charges have been filed. On September 26 at 17:30, officers from Region 2 Investigation Unit, along with Chonburi provincial health officials, carried out a search and arrest at a medical clinic located in Moo 2, Bang Saray Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The raid followed reports that the clinic had been providing medical services to patients without the proper legal authorisation. Three suspects were apprehended during the operation: Ms. Patinya (last name withheld), aged 53, the clinic owner responsible for dispensing medicine and collecting treatment fees; Ms. Chayaporn (last name withheld), aged 60, the clinic’s doctor, who was found to be using a forged medical license and was not legally authorised to practice medicine; and Ms. Methinee (last name withheld), aged 30, who was responsible for patient recordkeeping and taking blood pressure measurements. In the investigation, Ms. Chayaporn confessed to diagnosing and treating patients without a valid medical license, using fake documents to impersonate a doctor, and issuing medical certificates to patients. Ms. Patinya, the clinic owner, also admitted to running the business and dispensing medications to patients. Health officials seized 16 items, including various medications and medical equipment found at the clinic, which will be used as evidence in the ongoing legal case. The suspects have been charged with “operating a medical establishment without a license,” as outlined in Sections 16 and 24 of the Medical Establishment Act B.E. 2541 (1998), and “selling modern medicine without a license” under Section 12 of the Medicine Act B.E. 2510 (1967). Additionally, the second suspect faces charges of “forgery and use of forged documents (medical certificates)” under Section 264 of the Criminal Code. After the arrest, the suspects were taken to Sattahip Police Station for official documentation of the arrest and further legal proceedings. -- 2024-09-27 -

Any benefits in antibiotics
Time and time again I see posts on different forums mostly from those going to Asia for a vacation about taking antibiotics BEFORE a trip there,even though they have no illness Is there any benefit to take antibiotics such as doxycycline, Cephalexin etc before going to Asia say on your 2 week vacation ? I know some of you do it ,may I ask if you do ,have you have found you don't get sick perhaps by taking antibiotics before travelling? Is there any benefit to it? -

Well, the Dexit is not off the cards, though I would not bet on it the next 3 years. Unfortunately the Euro is now so linked with other currencies, to return to the Deutsche Mark could be a problem. That in itself would be a hugely popular policy among voters over 40 though. If a party ran on bringing back the Deutsche Mark they would almost be certain to win. But it is not going to to happen. -
