So, 2 Brits and not one.

No doubt it was just a coincidence. These two were probably gleefully singing "my grandad killed your grandad" to a couple of passing Germans when the disagreement broke out.  With any luck the survivor will serve his entire sentence here and not back in one of those cushy UK prisons where one can identify as female and bunk with the ladies.

Decent Brits know exactly what I'm talking about and despise that element of their culture. You won't find many Yanks who know about that song, at any rate.

There aren't many of 'my kind' of 'Brit' that likes to be included in your version of  'decent' British people.

I can assure you of that!

Same with the Canadians.

A disagreeable lot if ever there was one.  Don't let them pass the threshold of your home.

More weed mongering. Maryjane not a harmless drug. I know someone went completely schizo on it, had to go to the loony bin. Tis just a sad case of 2 guys who never shouldve took to the drink in the first place; too many unresolved emotional traumas + hair trigger temper + cheap booze = tragedy.

Very unfortunate ,this place attracts some real nutters, with easy to anger buttons

Are you sure that weed was not the cause of this fight?  They blame weed for every fight and tragic event here.

Oh do get down off that cross!

I am sure you can spend your whole life in Pattaya without getting into a fight, but having a few drinks in the pub with "strangers" who can't behave can lead into sudden tragedy.

Looks like the Pom killed the Aussie.

The article says 'Police say the British man, 29, punched the Aussie and he fell, hitting his head on the pavement'

Perhaps a punch from behind/sucker punch?

Seems like one of the surest and fastest ways to give up drinking for good.

Seems to me that if one is going to drink, then drinking at home, and without friends, is the safest strategy.

I stayed around the corner from this place last month. It does attract some professional drinkers. But they were usually early starters (breakfast) and early finishes. RIP

I just checked out the rooms...and they look better than I expected.

Must have been a fairly nice place.....when it first opened.

Not sure about the clientele these days, though.
