Nonsense. The vast majority of teachers in Thailand teach English as a Foreign Language. They may need a degree for the work permit and they should have a decent TEFL qualification like a CELTA or Trinity, but nothing else. It's no different to TEFL work in most countries, including Europe/UK and other Asian countries. -

I know a few foreigners who reside in Thailand and who neither want nor need a Thai bank account. I think that's fine and it's ridiculous to criticize their personal choice. They all have means and ways to access funds when needed, and it really isn't rocket science. Would I want to do it, personally? No, I like the convenience of QR code payments, free cardless ATM withdrawals and debit cards in the local currency for hotel bookings etc. All that requires having a Thai bank account. But that's the thing, anyone who lives here and wants any of that can and will open a Thai bank account. Without being told by strangers on the internet that they need one. -

Im located in Bangkok, and i have already applied for extension.... Thats why i cant do it again, but from what i have heard the best option is to still apply and then get rejected, but with a 7 day extra to leave the country -

Thai tax riddle: Elite Visa holders off the hook?
High Skilled professional category only give you a flat tax of 17% if I read it correctly too ? 100%. Unless you have 20M+, it's quite risky to invest 500k in Thailand. Gamble can pay off if it can save 500k on taxation though. Anyway, If I had that kind of money, I would just invest big money in Singapore and get my PR there. Way more stable and safe.
