Sorry can't give you a price but it looks easy enough 8 screws, ( I looked on Laz but can't find one ) A competent mechanic should be able to fit a new one in say an hour. Guess you will need to go to a dealer.

I downloaded a photo of one (found on a brave search) but I'm having trouble with this site uploading it, I can't even leave an emoji. Apparently I have used up all my attachment space, that could be again this site for not being able to remove notifications as we used to be able to do. I can't even send it to you on an email.

sounds to me that the LCD panel has been damaged..there is a cheap but fiddly repair for that    by replacing the polarizing film.

You  "invert"  the display  by the changing orientation of the polarizing film   it took a bit of experimentation  as the film has glue on one side  if you flip it over the polarization changes so have to think "back to front"  as it were.

4000 baht, new for unit that was for a PCX.

In Pattaya, main supplier Pangyong on Sukhumvit Soi 55, just off Pattaya Klang, took one hour.

I chose to invert the display  what was black is now orange and vice versa.

is that the speedometer or the tachometer?

Tachometer is on the left   speedometer is the LCD display on the right   which had suffered sunburn   it was very hard to read and parts where not displaying at all

after replacing the polarizing film full operation was restored.

You can buy a complete display on Lazada for 1500 , takes only 30 minutes to replace the whole unit.

Or you can send it to a shop and have them replace the film for 500 bath. Plenty on offer on Facebook marketplace.

My Yamaha Aerox 155 digital unit was replaced by a shop here in Chiang Mai, if I remember it was about 4K baht.

Amount and how many hours it will take?

My mate had an issue with one of the instrument display on his dash.

If you are in Pattaya take it to the Mityon service centre Pattaya Tai, he fitted a second hand unit for around 2k baht, half price if new one.

There's a few models, pre V.V.A, V.V.A and latest model (Bluetooth)

Yes looks like that guy can do the business...its not too difficult

but a bit fiddly requires care and attention not to break the glass sandwich containing the liquid crystal  or the electrical contacts

as said before you also have to work out the orientation of your polarizing film  and some way of powering the screen backlight whilst experimenting    I used an old PC power supply 12 volts.

polarizing film on Lazada.

Yamaha had a recall on the Aerox LCD’s some time ago. I had mine replaced under warranty at Mityon Pattaya very early last year, 2018 model bike. No charge

Posted

This is a very common problem on Aerox 155 LCD dash, Yamaha usually replaces it under warranty for free, they know they had  a bad one on that scooter....! Always try them first even if out of warranty...

My friend changed his on 3 years old bike, no charge, his last service showed 27k km, but he had like 33k km at the time, however they could not see it as LCD was dead. After replacing he went back to zero km..!!!?

He now has 70k km on it, +33k before, it's passed 100k km, it looks like new, it's amazing...! He no longer uses it as has a new ADV 350, but does not sell the old Aerox for some reason, too much love... lol

I think LCD if not under warranty is 4k baht all included at Yamaha...
