Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
It's a 2024 model. It has 5,xxx km on it. It has depreciated about 50%! Meaning YOUR link to a 2022 anecdote that is older than the 2024 anecdote depreciating about 50% is much worser as a comparison. It actually "proves" that ICE vehicles depreciate TWICE as fast as EV's. -

Inferno bus in use for 54 years
I've never heard of an exploding tyre igniting an inferno. I don't believe it. How could a tyre explode and create an inferno so massive and so quickly? There were lots of flames coming out of the place where baggage is usually stored in mid-bus? -

Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
I'm hoping my next car/truck will be an EV. It's the best way to go for the future. EVs are not pollution-free, but they're better than gasoline- or diesel-powered vehicles. -

Pros and cons of using an agent for the 800k
One potential big banana skin is Bangkok Bank is the only bank used now, used to be Kasikorn as well, so could be a sudden decision same as Kasikorn stopping availability- 1

Four Charges Filed Against Driver in Bus Fire That Killed 23
Poor or no maintenance on all the buses here in Thailand. Nicely painted and comfortable looking but mechanically poor conditions would be my guess. No safety introduction to young passengers , no one knows how to break the windows, no one knows where fire and extinguishers are if any, flammable materials inside…… so very sad… -

Is Thailand Value for money
It is not about Canadian food. Thailand advertises itself being so diverse. People here just do not know how to cook. I realized this during my first visa runs to Malaysia and Laos. Even Pad Thai is far superior in Vientianne than anywhere in Thailand.- 1

Bank of Thailand Intervenes to Manage Baht's Exchange Rate
They could have confirmed this a few days earlier. I gave up on my USD FCD on Monday, because every time I clicked on the XE page I would get less baht for my dollars. Turns out I exchanged at the worst rate of the year (32.11) because since then it only has got better, and the difference with today would have bought me a nice return business class ticket to Europe -

Trump Too Scared To Appear On 60 Minutes
This Forum is full of expats who support a party, the Democrat-Marxists, that trafficks women and children and supports their enslavement by drug cartels. ... A party that supports open borders and more crime; the takeover of residential blocks by thugs; and allows thousands of terrorists to enter the country. The party also supports the importation of fentanyl that has killed hundreds of thousands of people so far. You surely can see that having Comrade Kamala as President will lead to WW3. Just look at the current wars as starters. What happened to you that you support these things? Would you support them if they happened in Thailand? I suppose you would. -

Hillary Clinton Warns of Upcoming Misinformation Targeting Kamala Harris
Not at all. It had all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation. Brought up by Giuliani, known for his contacts with Russian operatives, who acted as if he wanted to make sure the laptop content could not be authenticated. Even NYPost reporters did not trust the information! New York Post reporters 'refused to attach bylines to Biden piece after doubting its accuracy’ https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-election/new-york-post-joe-biden-hunter-biden-ukraine-corruption-rudy-guliani-b1160302.html -

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
Good question. There might be some context to the Globalist-, and WEF-agenda. These are the masters of the hypocrite "Leftists" in power. These democracy "safeguards" get a kind of "brown envelopes" from there. Same, same (corruption), but different. At a higher level. The water-carrying, ideological idiots are the fewer. Useful at the moment, like the brainwashed voting sheep. Later, "deplorable"? -

Posting the same childish pictures again and again and again. Haven't you got a MAGA hat to polish? A gun rack that needs cleaning? A banjo that needs playing? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. -

Incredible US banking ineptness
Count yourself lucky not to be from the EU. At least as a US citizen you can still open a US bank account while living in Thailand. Once EU expats lose their EU accounts, there's nothing for it but to bank only in Asia (how do you transfer an EU stock portfolio to Thailand?), or go back and live in the EU for one fiscal year in order to open <deleted>load of new accounts before becoming moving out again. Yes, setting up call-centers manned with employees who know little and can do little is the new way for bank to cut costs these days. The day crypto takes over and all banks vanish will be a victory for mankind. I'm not even a crypto investor, I missed that band-wagon, but I now understand why long term there's no alternative to crypto.
