How to use aircon to keep the air dry?

I think all this "only run dry mode a few hours" stuff is written with other than the tropics in mind.

I typically run my bedroom a/c in dry mode all night long. (If necessary I tun it on cool for 1/2 to 1  hour first before  going to sleep). Dry mode a/c  plus a fan keep me perfectly  comfortable all night in all but the very hottest months.  The air is not too dry, even after 8 hours on dehumifify.

What I have now is a Dsikin with inverter (about 5-6 years old) but before that I had a non-inverter unit and dehumidify also worked....though it is better with the inverter unit.

You won't see the effects quickly, it takes some time in this humid climate.

Suggest you run it on cool for 1-2 hours before sleep then switch to dehumidify for the rest of the night.
