That’s what happens when they go for quantity over quality.

This policy of letting people in from these countries needs to be reigned in.

And precisely which countries are you referring to by  "these countries"?

Denmark has a lower crime rate than many European countries.

I am sure that would correspond with Danish tourists visiting Thailand.

The Danish crims moved here decades ago.

Try and keep up.

Really. Is he a friend of yours? You seem to know his life story. For all you know he  might of been an IT worker. Well compensated and seemingly functional. Sometimes they just lose it. How would anyone know otherwise?

I do think that is a distinct possibility .

The last two years has seen many similar bizarre situations

It was a humerus comment, you must be from a country that lacks this!

I am from a country that can see when a person is acting strangely.

Then we try and determine why.

Often we find that the person has taken a substance that is causing the person to act strangely.

I have read of many situations like this in Thailand recently since drugs became more available on the streets.

It is no laughing matter to be honest with you

"These countries"? You mean western countries? In other words, you're saying Indians, Chinese and Africans are better?

The Western commenters here think they are better and call for more control on non-Western tourists.

Seems they need to look more at their countryman's issues.

Try and keep up.

In the 90 ties there were drug gangs from Denmark and Sweden and due to cooperation between the Nordic and Thai police they were taken out of existence.

Perhaps it's you that needs to keep up.

I am me what's it got to do with you? I've been here for 13 years (not a few years). I didn't say he had MH problems I said he might have which would have to be taken into account. Don't make a diagnosis on what you read on here. Are you a doctor? Assuming that he is one of your "quality tourists" that is also assumption on your part. Learn how to post will you

Good to know, thanks. But I was talking about the ones that got set up here in the 70's and maintain a cordial relationship with the RTP.

Hope this helps.

Makes you wonder how these people can hold it together long enough to even get here ?

Get a passport , buy a ticket , get to the airport , pass through security , sit 10 hours on a plane , get off and pass through immigration check , make their way into the city , check into a hotel and then.....and only then, after all that effort .......go bananas ??

Why did they want to come here ?  What did they think they would do here ?

Wasn't being crazy a required qualification to come to Thailand?

Yes, that is why the immigration department want to check on your continued qualification every 90 days.

I never read that Africans went on a rampage oe were picked up because of alcohol overdosing, smashing up a shop etc. Seems to be predominantly a western habit.

It's a common reaction among Africans to go on rampages when things don't go their way. Doesn't happen much in Thailand simply because there are hardly any Africans here.

A Danish man today wreaked havoc in a central Bangkok hospital, leaving police scrambling to contain the chaos. The bizarre incident unfolded at 4.45am, today, October 7, at Chulalongkorn Hospital in Pathumwan, Bangkok, when a 40 year old foreigner erupted into a frenzy in the emergency room.

The man, clearly agitated, seized a medical knife and dashed towards Gate A2, making his way to the OPR building’s food zone. In a shocking turn, he slashed his arms and neck, causing severe injuries and significant blood loss.

Quick-thinking police officers, stationed at Gate A1, promptly subdued him, allowing medical staff to deliver critical emergency care.

This wasn’t the first time the troubled Dane had caused a stir. The night before, at 7.03pm, Thung Maha Mek Police Station officers reported a foreigner with a severe bleeding wound in Soi Suan Phlu 8, Sathorn.

The man, they discovered, had injured his right thigh after clambering over and tumbling from a fence in a nearby village. Witnesses watched as he wandered from Soi Suan Phlu 8 to Soi Suan Phlu 6, refusing all attempts of assistance.

Despite the arrival of an emergency vehicle, the determined Dane declined aid, choosing instead to head to Suan Phlu Market. A second emergency attempt to transport him to the hospital was again rebuffed.

At around 10pm, a quick-thinking German passerby managed to engage the distressed man in conversation, ultimately persuading him to hop into a taxi bound for the hospital, KhaoSod.

But the drama didn’t end there. By 12.19 am, police received frantic reports of cries for help emanating from the rear of the market, just opposite Soi Suan Phlu 8. There, officers found the same Danish national perilously climbing on a nearby rooftop. With patience and care, officers coaxed him down, administered initial first aid, and finally whisked him off to the hospital.

Deport these junkies immediately back to their home countries in Europe. These people are wrecked with drugs, have a cost to the healthcare system and are a public threat to safety. They tarnish the image of all falangs in Thailand. Such incidents seem to be on the rise ever since cannabis became legal and shops popped up all over the country.
