A mentally disturbed man wielding a cleaver attacked several people in Si Khieu District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The attack occurred around 22:10 on October 7, near the Provincial Electricity Authority office in Mittraphap Subdistrict, where the man targeted both pedestrians and passing vehicles. Several people were injured, prompting residents to contact local police.

When officers from the Si Khieu Police Station arrived, the man used the cleaver to damage a police vehicle before being subdued and taken into custody.

Ms. Worawan (surname withheld), 55, a local resident whose egg shop was among the places targeted said her CCTV from the shop showed the man storming in and attacking one of her employees, who was sorting eggs at the time. The sudden attack caused panic among everyone present.

Eyewitnesses captured video of the man also swinging his cleaver at the police vehicle during their attempts to stop him.

Ms. Worawan recounted the terrifying moment, saying that her employees had been sorting eggs when they heard loud commotion outside. Upon investigation, they saw a man, estimated to be around 40 years old, storm into the shop with cleavers in both hands, striking her unsuspecting employee, causing multiple injuries to his back and right arm. The man then fled, continuing his rampage along the road.

The police, upon arrival, faced danger as the man targeted their vehicle. Reinforcements were called, including rescue personnel, and after a tense 30-minute standoff, the man was finally apprehended and taken to Si Khieu Police Station.

Preliminary information from Pol. Lt. Col. Somkiat Najaroen, investigator at Si Khieu Police Station, revealed that the man was a local resident. A drug test showed no narcotics in his system. Relatives later informed the authorities that he had a history of mental illness.

The investigation is ongoing.

Oh my God! It´s the end! The mad gene has gone airborne.

The cops should have used their Glock to take him down.   He's a danger to everyone ....   he'll be back out doing the same again soon until someone gets seriously hurt.

The whole country seem to be Mentality Disturbed, not one cleaver but two..........

The egg shop owner had to 'scramble ' for safety.
