Can you please tell us what is the 4G+ router you have, or show us a picture maybe?  50 MBPS is quite good enough for most people!

Please, Mbps, not MBps. There's an 8 fold difference.

It's trial and error, i found True to be unreliable, AIS the best, DTAC a good second

  • I'm not sure if you can make blanket statements like that.  I think it can vary from location to location and in different regions of the country.  You are not always going to get the same signal stre

AIS is actually quite fast. At home in the south I get 150MPS or more. But when I travel to Bkk or Pattaya I feel lucky to only get 7. MPS

Thanks, Bradiston, please explain, I thought both meant Mega Bytes Per Second, or am I wrong?

Mb is Megabit. MB is Megabyte. There are 8 bits in one byte. It's called an 8 bit word. Each bit can have a 0 or 1 value. Binary system!

Hopefully this link works.  I randomly chose Hua Hin to generate the link, but the map can be zoomed out, moved and re-zoomed in to the user's preferred place. I found it a useful comparison tool when choosing a supplier when I was looking.  I found one supplier that was pretty useless in my area so was able to avoid them.

I can only relate my own experience here in achiang Mai and having driven around Thailand for 13 years … AIS.

Unlikely. Plus there is no more NT Thunder 12 months. 1,3 & 6 month SIM are being phased out.

Is this confirmed?  I thought I spotted annual ones back on sale from a supplier I've used before (as well as a couple I haven't) although they haven't reappeared on the official sales page.

That's a different product, with a different name.

200GB monthly limit and then slowing down to 1Mbps.

OK, thanks I hadn't picked up on all the details.

Still seems good value and seems to indicate they aren't losing the frequency band, which was mentioned in another thread as the reason for the discontinuation of the original product.

It's their band, but they have an agreement with DTAC and get to use the infrastructure under it.

In addition, it looks to be a white label product, a kind of pseudo-MVNO. Rather than dealing directly with NT.

I once had a DTAC one year SIM. On the road it had more outages than the AIS (GOMO) that I have now.

My DTAC annual SIM has had very few outages ever.

I know it is confusing. Internet and transfer speeds are usually quoted in Mb/s, whereas storage is in MB or GB or TB.

I get 1 Mb/s internet from 3BB, not always that but quite good, and save my data on a 1TB SSD.

I think you are getting more than 1 Mbps from 3BB. 1 Gbps perhaps?

Sorry for the typo, yes 1 Gb/s for Bht 749 per month. Great.

That is just people around here being too anal.  Stating the speed is always assumed Mb even if someone types it as MBPS or whatever.

See my apology above. 1 Gb/s from 3BB.

Nope. Here's a current thread where people are quoting throughput in MB/s, but not utilising MB/s

I have 3BB. I pay for the cheap 1000 download, and 500 upload...

My old PC with a 15 year old CPU usually gets in the 800 down/300 up range...

I can't grumble at that.......:intheclub:

I just checked this link and all 4 selections are listed as "Out of Stock" which may also mean, no longer available.

AFAIK, the SIM may not last a full year, but only up to the end of July next year.

They have another version suitable for mobile use. Six months for 690 baht.

20GB per month Max speed and unlimited 6Mbps afterwards.

Unlimited any network calls; 15 minutes per call.

Frequencies เทคโนโลยี 4G/3G (2300MHz/2100MHz/850MHz)

Don't expect too much 😊

Just to clear up any confusion that you might have...

There is only ONE Thunder Max product.  The 12 month one and it only runs until the end of July next year.

The other three are the normal Unlimited Thunder products and all are still available if you know where to look.

Truemove H and NT are the only ones left with Unlimited 15 Mbps packs. Truemove H from 2500. NT from 1650 baht.

AIS 15 Mbps has a monthly limit of 100GB and costs 2750 baht.

GoMo is an way to obtain Unlimited 15 Mbps from AIS. 259 baht monthly.

FinnMobile is a way to get Unlimited 20 Mbps from DTAC.

No more 12-month data SIM's from all operators? Or just no more NT Thunder options?

Are those 1-year devices and prices?

My DTAC data SIM in the 4G router will expire in January so maybe I better start looking at alternatives.

Not to mention "5G" internet connection band vs. "5G" mobile service.

Just NT Thunder.

There will still be 12 month SIM with capped speed and capped volume.

Only Truemove H and NT currently have unlimited volume 12 month SIM.
