A Thai national has died and another is suffering from severe psychological trauma as a result of an anti-tank missile attack on a Kibbutz near Israel’s border with Lebanon.

The Kibbutz Yir’on is in one of the closed military zones in Israel.

The Thai Embassy in Israel has instructed Thai citizens in closed military zones or other dangerous areas to contact the embassy if they need assistance to evacuate.

Personal choices, stay or go... that was a wrong choice.

What is a closed military zone?
Sounds like non-military people should not be there.

Yeah.  I wonder if these people believed they had a choice.  Look after their families.  Or not.  I guess they definitely are not now.  Maybe also the karma thing took charge.  Still sad for their families and friends.  And it's all so avoidable too.

i think this is a closed kibbutz, because close to border. (israëli)people evacuated already, thai stayed behind for taking care or so...

Not willing to die for money but Israel pays more than Thailand.

If only "a government"  could raise up the lives of Thais they wouldn't go to Israel

Human shield.

More like some dude trying to make a living when he was killed by some home made or Iranian missile fired into Israel for probably no military reason whatsoever by terrorists and baby rapers who intentionally target women and children because they cant win a peer to peer fight.

I cant wait till Iran as a rogue murderous terrorist hate ridden state comes toppling down in a few weeks.

Would all foreigners leave Thailand if Myanmar began bombing Thailand ?

Thailand is a much larger country. There's parts were you could be safe from any bombings. That's clearly not the case in Israel.

Did you say the same about the foreigners working in Gaza who got killed ?

No, I didn't, because this article is about a Thai whi got killed in Israel, but very OBVIOUSLY it applies to every war zone in the world! Nice try, though!

So your answer would have been *Yes*, you did question why the aid workers who were killed in Gaza what were doing in Gaza when there was a war going on .  and you couldn't understand why they would go there

YES. Hell more!

I know few occupations in Erez Israel that pay up to $3K/month. Almost 100.000 thb.

How about that little inconvenience of missiles and some fireworks in the sky?

It's a mystery to me why any foreign national is still in Israel!!!

Are you sure this kibbutz was in Israel, and not illegal occupied land?

Ok, let me rephrase that so you can sleep at night! It's mystery to me why any foreign national who doesn't ABSOITELY HAVE TO BE THERE, you know, like aid workers or people who work for the Red Cross or doctors, military, police, *insert your personal favorite option here* etc. are still in Israel, Gaza or any other war zone on this planet!

Does that work for you? Are you happy now?

What's a peer to peer flight?

Never mind, I just looked it up (Leo AI) but cant figure our how if fits into this topic:

Quote

Peer-to-peer flight sharing refers to the concept of sharing flights and costs between individuals, which is currently legal according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). However, the use of peer-to-peer online interaction for this purpose is not explicitly allowed by the FAA.

In terms of communication, peer-to-peer or air-to-ground communication is technically possible, but it requires planes to act as intermediate nodes, and it may need a satellite or terrestrial endpoint. The amount of data and power required for this communication can vary greatly, especially for long flights.

There are also applications of peer pressure in the aviation industry, which can distort the relative importance of the flight mission and affect decision-making processes. On the other hand, peer-led alternatives like Peer Point are being used to divert youth from punitive systems of response to behavior at school and in the community.

In the context of American Airlines, the Power of Peer-to-Peer Care is a specialized support mechanism for pilots and their families, providing help and resources at any time of the day or night.

Palestinians can do those jobs , no need for foreigners to go to Gaza.

How difficult is it to deliver food?

Delivering food is an unskilled job , Gazans can do that , no need for foreigners to go there and be glorified Grab food deliverers

I wouldn’t be here in the first place if it were anything like what the state of that region is in regards land grabs, hate & religion. Likely same for most others. Those Thais are only there because of the coin, not for the love of it.

Felangs are in Thailand for "the coin" as well , we just quire our money by making savings because its cheap, rather than acquiring money through work

Very sad indeed,   it just reminded me of the two brothers from Khon Kaen who were killed when Hezbolla attacked at the start.

Their father must have been devastated by the loss of his 2 boys.

That's something he'll never get over ... ever

Oops.

Thank you. I now cleaned the lenses of my spectacles and saw that you wrote fight, not flight.

It's still probably safer in Israel than Thailand and the toxic air that kills countless each year.
