We have all seen the survey claiming Thai women are the second least faithful women in the world. I would be interested to hear from your personal experience, if you have or had a relationship with a Thai girl aged 18 to 32 that was attractive.

 

Please do not write in to say how loyal your 52 year old ladyfriend with 2 kids is, she would be, wouldn't she? I am sure she's lovely, but this thread is for men who have dated Thai girls aged 18 to 32 long term. How loyal are they really? Shocking disappointment or surprising fidelity? What is your story?

Doe the man dress smart or like a slob.  Ditto for personal hygiene.

 

Is the man a jealous control freak, texting her every 10 minutes.

 

Is the man faithful to her.

 

Is the man a jerk.

 

Impossible to categorize all.

If you have a decent amount of money PLUS you invest emotionally and make an effort to connect to the woman on a deeper level, then she will tend to be loyal.

Women need financial security and an emotional connection. If you offer both, where would she go? Most men cannot offer this. Most men are trying to get laid with the least amount of emotional investment possible. 

 

But 10% of women might be so messed up that they will cheat no matter what, but you should get some red flags. 

 

And of course, you yourself need to be loyal or they may cheat to get revenge on your disloyalty. 

 

Then again, yeah 18 year olds may be too young for committed relationships ...

Surely that is correct, but I was really asking for real life stories that have happened to you. If you have had a rel with a Thai girl aged 18 to 32.

What exactly do you mean by "invest emotionally"?

Many years ago I was trying to decide whether or not to stay with my then girlfriend or send her packing.  She'd played around on a couple of occasions and I'd caught her out but I suspected she was learning from her mistakes - by that I mean, learning how not to get caught.

 

This wasn't a case of jealousy, I lived 10,000km away and if she wanted the free and single life, she was welcome to it - just not on my time. She lead me to believe that I was her boyfriend and she didn't want to play around anymore. I'd invested time and effort into the relationship and we were planning to make things more permanent.  I also didn't want an STD. But something wasn't right, the unanswered calls, stange background noises when I called her and she claimed to be at home.

 

People say if you don't trust someone, you shouldn't be with them but I really liked this girl and I didn't want to end the relationship when I could be wrong - how do you know when you're 10,000km away?

 

Well, I found a way of 'knowing' and I couldn't believe what I found out.  I found an application called Flexispy. Its a bug that is put on a mobile phone and it records all outgoing and incominmg messages and their content. It also records calls and if you paid for the 'deluxe version' you could actually listen in on calls or turn on the microphone so you could hear what was going on near the phone.  The problem was, you had to have the phone in your possession to install the application.  After which it was very difficult to find and did not affect the phone's usage.  Once installed you simply logged on to a website using a pre arranged username and password and all the information was there, times, dates, content, the lot.

 

I went for the normal version, I was pretty sure what I would find and I didn't want to actually hear it taking place.  It was almost Christmas so I decided to buy her a new phone as a gift - I figured the cost was worth it.  The company had an office in Bangkok so I arrived a day earlier than I told her and had them install the bug for me.

 

I was in Bangkok for a couple of weeks and as usual, spent all of that time with my 'girlfriend'.  When I arrived back in the UK I logged on to the website and found that my 'girlfriend' had arranged to meet a guy before my flight was even airborne.  The next week continued the same way, messages and calls from literally dozens of guys - all with foreign names. She was apparently spending a lot of her free time in bars on Khao San Road.

 

I won't go into detail of what happened next, there's no need. Let's just say she was dumped - I had a little fun with her first though, she couldn't work out how I knew who she'd been with the night before and accused me of hiring a P.I. 😁.

 

The girl in question wasn't a bar girl or even an ex bar girl, nothing like that at all, what she did, she did for free. This was during my early days in Thailand and since then I've heard of dozens of girls who do the same. I've learned about the married women who have 'Giks' that they might only meet at lunchtime for sex, the women who are married to a foreigner living abroad but also have a Thai 'husband' or boyfriend and the Uni girls that freelance in their time off - etc. etc. etc.

 

So, are they faithful?  I would say that a hell of a lot are certainly not faithful - far from it.  But then again, you can't 'tar' all Thai women with the same brush.  The biggest thing I learned from my 'episode' was that you have to be in Thailand - something a Thai female friend had told me years before and I failed to listen. If you're not, its probably best not to try holding down a relationship.

 

The application I purchased and put on my 'girlfriend's' phone is still available I believe but you can't buy it now, you have to pay a monthly subscription. I also have no idea as to its legality but at the time I put in on the phone, the phone was mine.

 

Knowing what I know now, would I do the same again? No I wouldn't - I simply wouldn't try to have a serious relationship with any girl 10,000km away.

oh, 28 years ago since I had a 19 year old gf, and even for the time being, and her being a western, I thought that was to young even then when I was 28.

That's very interesting. So both at the higher end when they proved to be faithful. Could be that by age 30 a woman has gone through the stage of party experiments and learnt that these are not welcome or forgiven by a man in a relationship? Hence by age 30 they are more likely to be faithful? Or ist that nonsense?
