In a shocking case of jealousy-fuelled violence, a 52-year-old karaoke bar owner in Sri Songkhram District, Nakhon Phanom, shot and killed a regular customer inside his establishment early on the morning of October 21. The suspect, identified as Mr. Nara Matrachai, confessed to authorities that the motive behind the shooting was jealousy over his wife, a Lao national who managed the bar.

The incident occurred at around 01:20 at the "Rim Fang Nang Len" karaoke bar, located in Moo 6, Sri Songkhram Subdistrict. The victim, 33-year-old Mr. Phatrachai Boonramee from Tha Champa, Tha Uthen District, was found lying dead on the floor of the bar. He had been shot once in the back with a 9mm handgun, which was later recovered by police.

Following the shooting, Mr. Nara contacted the police himself and surrendered at the scene. He told investigators that the victim, who frequented the bar regularly, had formed a close relationship with his wife, which sparked suspicion of a romantic affair. Overcome by rage, Mr. Nara decided to shoot the victim in a moment of uncontrollable jealousy.

Police, led by Sri Songkhram Police Station Chief, Colonel Srikorn Naiwat, arrived at the scene to collect evidence and request a post-mortem examination of the victim. Authorities confirmed that Mr. Nara had fully cooperated, providing a statement detailing the events leading up to the shooting. He remains in custody and is awaiting further legal proceedings.

The bar was staffed by Lao women, including the suspect's wife, who managed the venue. The police will continue investigating the case to ensure a thorough legal process.

Uncontrollable jealousy!? They surely have great excuses in this country. Rage is taking control, and everything else is uncontrollable. Never man up, and actually take 100% responsibility by admitting you might have lost the battle of your wife as not being man enough, and did something really wrong acting like a coward and shooting a guy in the back. An action that actually cement the fact of not being man enough.

oh dear Georgealbert,    what is it that the Thai people will shoot someone at the drop of a hat.

He shot him in the back also,   a low cowardly act.  Hope he rots in prison.

In the old days,  if someone was jealous they would have a punch in the paddock ....  then after the fight they'd be shaking hands.

When i owned a bar there were always guys hitting on my girlfriend.

That is what happens in bars,i never was inclined to shoot any of these guys.

This guy was probably worried about her running off and leaving him to do the work.

Another day another bunch of murders.

Well now she can have whatever customer she wants plus all the income from the business while he rots in prison ....maybe he should of thought of the outcome before going stupid.

Now,  who will sponsor her work permit renewal?😋

Not being man enough? How would you know it was his fault she was seeing (maybe) another man? Maybe she was the problem, and he didn't like what was going on. No reason to kill, just kick her ass out the door and find another that isn't trash. In any event, now he'll be in jail and his wife will continue her behavior with another.

An answer as expected by the manly force of the forum. Just blame the woman as usual, as that is what men seems to do. Kick out and find new. Sounds like talk of dinosaurs to me.

I actually stick up for women when they need it. If she's cheating on her husband, he needs to find another and not settle things with this kind of violence. What would you do if you found your wife cheating? Buy him a beer?

That would never happen.
