I buy mine at large roadside markets where they sell all manner of meats and vegetables, fruits etc.

 

You have to mention the Thai name:   Look Gra Wan or Look Gar Wan.

 

It also helps if you can show them a picture or two on your mobile.

 

Real cheap, about 15-20 baht for a small packet.  Sometimes comes with leaves which I don't know what to do with, so I discard.
