At approximately 04:50, on November 5, a crash occurred in front of a PTT gas station on the Phanat Nikhom-Nong Chak road in Thung Khwang Subdistrict, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi Province. A pickup truck driver veered off the road and collided with a roadside light pole, resulting in the deaths of both occupants.

Emergency responders arrived to find two men unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle cab, which was extensively damaged by the impact. Rescue teams from Phanat Nikhom Hospital, equipped with hydraulic cutting tools, attempted to free them.

Unfortunately, both men had suffered multiple injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased were identified as:

• Driver: Mr. Suphanat Panalom, age 24, from Village 4, Phlai Subdistrict, Prasat District, Surin Province.

• Passenger: Mr. Chai, a 26-year-old Cambodian national, from Village 5, Ban Chang Subdistrict, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi Province.

Police Lieutenant Thitirat Phenglam, Deputy Inspector of Phanat Nikhom Police Station, conducted an on-site investigation and believed speed was a major factor. The bodies of the deceased were transported to Phanat Nikhom Hospital for autopsy and to check for the presence of alcohol or drugs.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with police reviewing CCTV in the area.

I would imagine - as in 90% of these cases - he fell asleep and peddle hit the metal

The so called rescue teams are very busy in that area, day after day, after day....

endless.
