Approximately 1.4 kilogrammes of cannabis glandular trichomes were discovered at the property. Cannabis glandular trichomes contain cannabinoids primarily found in cannabis flowers and leaves and are highly valued for their psychoactive and medicinal properties.

 

Further searches at the condominium in Phra Kanong revealed an additional 6 kilogrammes of cannabis, also packed in vacuum-sealed bags.

 

ONCB officials reported that British police have seized large amounts of cannabis smuggled from Thailand this year, prompting closer collaboration between Thai and British officials to prevent such trafficking.

 

These trafficking groups reportedly enter Thailand as tourists and obtain cannabis from local dealers to smuggle back to their home countries. In some cases, they carry the cannabis with them while travelling; in others, they ship it internationally via parcels.

It’s weird I have said this before on this forum and there is always some people that get really defensive about it . I know because my son who is a US national works in the cannabis industry in the US for 1 . Secondly I’m 53 years of age from the UK with a colourful past . So I recognise the types of  tourists I see in Bangkok/Pattaya . Age groups , dress etc. I don’t actually care what they do , all power to them if they want to take that risk as I think alcohol is many times more dangerous than smoking a few blunts . I also do not smoke it nor care . But I have been coming here for several decades and since its legalisation, you can clearly see the change of traffic shall we say.

I am not defensive about anything you have said , I merely doubt your assertion that "loads" of brits have been caught. Any that have been caught are simply low IQ opportunistic chancers,

In the majority of cases it does not. Cannabis use exists side by side with other drugs, but in most cases the one doesn't cause the other. Correlation is not the same as causation. This has been studied ad infinitum. I never said “been caught” mate . I said Brits that are sending weed back to the UK ,either be it by post or using mules but it’s mostly  by post and sustaining their stay out here which has now become a lot easier with the softening of visa rules  .  Apologies for the misunderstanding but I did actually say that . But what I meant was “loads of Brits” buying weed here ,setting up shop and sending parcels. And then finding  out the hard way that the Thais work very differently to their compatriots in the west .

I would imagine that most would have been able to work it out just by reading the OP...importing Ecstacy to Thailand and exporting cannabis from Thailand to the UK.  Easy.
