I'm not in favor of anyone "doing wonders" in the space/tech industries, especially going into space. We should not even consider going to another planet until we learn to live both environmentally and socially compatible on this one. Otherwise, our going there should not be called "colonizing," but more accurately, it would be "metastasizing" because we (humans) are like a cancer on this planet.

If you havent understood what drives us further and keeps us on top, is the inventions and the investments in technology we didnt know we needed. 

 

The resources out there is unlimeted at once we can bring rear metal and elements back to earth. The drive America once had, came because of exactly science and inventions fused together. 

 

However I can understand why his daughter escaping, we all had our issues with our father, or? And who thinks Elon is a good ather who work 18 hours a day? Sleep on the floor of his office in  factory,

There is no such thing as unlimited resources or renewable energy. Our belief that we will find or invent these someday is what continues to destroy this planet.

I have no idea why his daughter is leaving him, but I'm sure she has plenty of very good reasons with which I would agree,

The only caveat I have regarding Musk is the power he is being granted by Trump by virtue of his massive financial support. 

 

Electric cars, which Trump was until a few weeks ago totally against (bearing in mind the need to win Michigan), will now be fully supported in Bidenesque style.

I put that down to English not being your first language. The planet is not self destructive, and will be absolutely fine whatever happens on the surface. Humans are self destructive.

 

The planet will do better without us destroying the surface.

 

I agree we had the best of the time humans inhabited it, but I can't see humans still being around in 100 years. Too destructive, too polluting, too warlike, too many of us.

Remember the planet had homo sapiens for roughly only 300k years, and everything we see today have happened many times before for some various reasons as earth have adopted to continously new lifeforms who also most likely influenced the climate together with sun and geological activity
