They try everything to lure tourists to come..they lured people to invest and after want tax.

They jump from indians to Europeans to china on a daily basis Thailand is NOT a cheap country anymore compared to other like Vietnam.. Cambodia and filipines. My friend working in a well known bar in Bangkok and she told me yesterday that is almost empty everyday.

When will Thailand understand that the chinese hords that come to Thailand don't spend anything in Thai run businesses. They only go to organised places, run by the Chinese. All the money made is sent back to China through their own networks.

Nailed It!   All Facts...

The China Tourism Academy is spearheading an initiative to enhance tourism development in China and across ASEAN, positioning Thailand as a central tourism hub.

This effort, revealed by the Association of Thai Travel Agents, comes from recent discussions between the association’s secretary-general, Adith Chairattananon, and Dai Bin, president of the China Tourism Academy.

The plan aligns with a broader policy outlined by Chinese President Xi Jinping, aiming to establish China as a global leader in tourism. The focus is not only on generating economic revenue but also on leveraging tourism research and academic insights for national benefits across economic and environmental dimensions.

A proposed tourism research team of 100 experts from China and ASEAN countries will study optimal strategies for fostering tourism collaboration.

This initiative aims to impact over 2 billion people, including China’s 1.4 billion population and ASEAN’s 600 million residents.

Upon developing the plan's framework, it will be presented to the Chinese government for approval. Collaboration with the Thai government will follow under a memorandum of understanding (MOU), facilitated by Chinese Ambassador Han Zhiqiang.

The MOU signing is anticipated next year, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Thailand and China.

Thailand's role as a tourism hub is attributed to its robust relationship with China, global recognition of its tourism industry, strategic geographic position, and potential for collaboration with ASEAN nations.

This collaborative effort aims to strengthen tourism links between China and ASEAN, unlocking economic opportunities while improving the quality of life within the region.

The project underscores a shared vision for sustainable tourism growth, leveraging Thailand's strategic role to amplify these efforts on a global platform, reported The Nation.

All is well and good until China starts setting up its own police stations in Thailand and starts "disappearing" anyone it considers a dissident. Just like they have done in Brazil and many other countries.
