A Thai tourist found herself in the crosshairs of danger after a heated dispute over escort services spiralled out of control, leading to her being shot in the historic city of Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The altercation erupted at a local hotel, ultimately escalating into violence, on Saturday, November 9.

The scene unfolded when four men left the woman, identified as Thogkhot Thanchanok, at the emergency entrance of Pacific Hospital before making a hasty getaway. CCTV footage chillingly captured the moment the suspects wheeled her in on a stretcher before vanishing into the night.

Police have named the suspects as Rahul Gurjar, Dhruv Suwalka, Akshay, and one other individual, and a case has been lodged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), said Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal.

“The woman was involved in escort services, and the shooting occurred after a disagreement in the hotel room.”

Despite suffering gunshot wounds to her chest and back, Thanchanok’s condition is now stable following surgery to remove a bullet lodged in her ribs. She had arrived in India two months prior with a friend, staying at Hotel Veer Palace near the Udai Pol area since October 21. On the night of the incident, she reportedly left her hotel alone around 1.30am.

NewsBytes reported that police are scrutinising CCTV footage from the hotel and surrounding areas to uncover further details. Both Thanchanok and her friend are being questioned by local police as part of the ongoing investigation. Additionally, the cab driver who ferried her to the hotel has been interviewed, said Superintendent Goyal, as the hunt intensifies to bring the perpetrators of this brazen attack to justice.

“The woman has told us she is a Thai national visiting Udaipur on a tourist visa.”

So she goes to India with a friend to sell her pu--y. Plans to meet a man or some men in the middle of the night at a hotel. Then gets shot in a disagreement over the services offered or the money received for such services.

She should be lucky they felt bad and got her to the hospital and is still alive.

The story reeks of misinformation making it seem as if she is meeting some friend in the middle of the night. Why isn't immigration there asking questions and/or revoking their tourist visas when clearly she is working as a hooker?

Is that because Brown Envelopes are available in India?

She was working as a sex escort on a tourist visa.

Perhaps she got caught in the cross gun fire accidently between her customer and  another person.

As prostitution is prohibited in Thailand, she opted to visit India as a tourist. Next thing might be, that her work permit application as "escort" is in the pipeline but, to get acquainted, she did some trial runs.

While hurting any person for whatever reason is despicable, it would be more than interesting, what led this lady to ply the trade in India of all places.

Hope she gets well soon and reconsiders working back in Thailand; salaries at 7/11 are possible lower but certainly safer and more acceptable by the locals here!

Little had I expected this kingdom exports prostitutes to the hell on earth as well.

While  quite a few Thai women are known to serve as sex workers in the 1st world.

Better select the workplace for their life...

....that much is true, but even then she knew she'd find a much better place, even with or without you. The two months she had were such good times, she still loves you.

For those not UK 80's kids

Now where did you dig up that fact?

Obviously you have the proof and links to back up your words.

So post them, or your entire post is BS as most of your posts are.

Sounds like she went to the hotel to service one man, and found out he wanted all his buddies taken care of too.

The report says that she was a tourist providing an escort service.

Nothing else.

So, apart from in your mind, where is the link and the proof.

Trafficked? Then blackmailed? Maybe the shooter was her trafficker? Strikes me that prices in India in hotels like that aren't going to be any better than in Thailand so why do it. I'm also  interested in what drove her to Rajahstan of all places. Weird.

Hope we see the follow up to this story.
