The Social Development and Human Security Ministry (MSDHS) is set to revoke the licence of an orphanage foundation in Chiang Mai following allegations of child abuse. Minister Varawut Silpa-archa announced the decision after a former caregiver reported that employees at the orphanage had been physically punishing children aged three to six for several years.

New Safety Standards for NGVs: Automatic Gas Shut-off Valve Requirement in 2025

In a move to enhance safety in compressed natural gas vehicles (NGVs), following recent incidents and loss of life, Industry Minister Ekanat Promphan has directed revisions to the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) standard, TIS 2333, mandating the installation of automatic gas shut-off valves on all NGV cylindersfitted to vehicles.
