I had a friend send me a small amount this morning. I received an email from Wise that my friend had sent money.

The tracking this morning said, I would receive at 10.30p, and his Wise account displayed the same.

Money was taken from his CC right away.

Since I didn't receive anything by 11.30pm, I checked the tracking link again, and it said

My friend checked his Wise account and now it said

In the details, it still shows as sending.

I asked him to initiate a new transfer with the same account details to see if he gets a warning that my account is blocked, but everything seems fine.

He didn't receive any emails or notifications.

Anyone experienced the same?

Wise getting very tiresome really.

Got another payment initiated yesterday at 7pm, and received the email they had received the money, and that it would be in my account at 10am.

That has since changed to 11:10am and now  to 12:20am.

I think it's time to start using a more reliable service

Like who? I'm open to any opinions on the next best service. I think I'm experiencing some problems with speed of delivery this morning through Wise, still waiting and it's been 2 hours.

Does it really matter if it takes one, two or three days. I’ve used them for years, find it simple and the total cost quite competitive.

It does matter when a financial service, handling your money, in recent times start to have more and more technical issues. Because one day it may be that they go tits up, or lose your money somewhere.

My WISE transfers routinely take six business days now.

Why?  I verified my bank account through micro-deposits and because of that it "takes longer for the money to reach us."

I've been invited on numerous occasions to re-verify my account by logging into my bank account through WISE but that's just not going to happen.

So, I wait six days.

Edit:  Oooooh, I got a sad "frowny face" for my post.  Just gutting me, folks, don't know if I can go on now.

Sent GBP500 from my Revolut to my son's. Took 10 seconds.

I am due to do my monthly Wise Transfer today. Will keep you posted.

No. It says "we paid out".

There might still be obstacles of Thai banks in the way.

For me completely normal that I get a "paid out" at 9 to 10 AM and money in the Thai bank at 2 PM.
If you need a blitz use another system!

No it doesn't say paid out.

The trackings says at xx.xx time we will pay out

That time changed 3 times.

In the meantime, I received the payment, but if you want to contradict my posts, you should get your facts right.

Wow …this is big… you seem to get out of bed the wrong side most days …

No I don't, but do you like to be called a liar? I don't

But it's rather big from you to make that false accusation, while it had nothing at all to do with you.

Grammatical splitting of hairs par excellence IMHO.

No it isn't, there is a huge difference between "we paid out", and "we will pay out".

Maybe you never been to school, or didn't attend classes, when they taught about past and future tense

Assume you're having Wise pull (extra fee, extra processing, extra time) from your bank account.

Why not log onto your bank and send a free ACH payment into your Wise account, then a few hours later, log onto Wise and send to your Thai account which could arrive within seconds?

  Correct.

I've seen and resisted this suggestion previously but I may just have to make the attempt.

Thanks for the reminder that this is an option.

I use a credit union as a firebreak between Wise and my brokerage, which adds some time for my transfers.

As needed, I send funds from my brokerage cash account to Wise.  An ACH is processed at start of the business day, and money sent within about an hour.  My credit union emails receipt and funds availability usually within 2-3 hours.  It's now about 11pm Thai time.

You don't need this step.

Log onto my credit union around 11am (11pm Thai time) and transfer from checking or savings to Wise via free ACH.  My credit union will batch process these transactions after midnight EST, or noon Thai time the following day, and the funds will go out when the bank opens, around 8am USA time.  Your bank may be faster with this step.

Wise will send an email around 9am (9pm Thai time) that funds have been received.  I can log onto Wise, send cash purposed for "monthly expenses" that usually arrives in my Bangkok Bank account within seconds (except on weekends and bank holidays).

If I select "long term stay", additional processing is required.  Some coding is required, possibly needing to match particular batches of funds within Thailand (?), and Wise will indicate funds "will be released" next morning at 10am.  This is usually the case, and funds will be available in Bangkok Bank between 2-5 PM.
