65 is a way off 82, and if my families health is anything to go by, no history of cancer, and tend to die mid 80s, so living to 100 is not on the cards. Anyway, the decision is mine.
My intention is not to sound unsympathetic to someone who's been robbed, but the relatively simple moral to this story is never drink to the point where you lose control, and never drink to the point where you lose your awareness out in public. The Darwinian aspect of this is that we must have the necessary survival skills to thrive in this world. Some have it and some simply don't.
In Germany, if you call the Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs (Robert Habeck) stupid (Dummkopf) on social media, you will have police visit you and turn your home upside down.
You are not jailed, but you are silenced very fast. Green fascism in its purest form.
And I predict in 6 months time they'll quietly forget the whole thing.
Same as they did with banning cannabis, and giving everyone 10kbht.
Not to mention requiring expats to have Thai health insurance, and giving foreign tourists free insurance.
The Thais are great at starting something (usually to comply with some half baked foreign edicts) then quietly moving on when they think no-one is looking.
It's always terrible to hear about something like this, the silver lining is that these mass shootings are relatively infrequent here in Thailand, unlike in America, where they happen almost daily. However America seems to have more of a fascination with violence, guns are very easy to acquire and there are a lot of very insane people running around.
