I understand ur problem.I learned to speak thai well.My exwife learned me even her English was wery good.

After she moved to my country she had to take 600 hours to learn my language.I did a mistake and only speak thai to her.Anyway when she meet her thaifriends here they only spoke thai so my language went downhill.

Even at work they only spoke thai.My suggestion is u try to learn more thai even its not easy..it took me years.

When im in Thailand and meet thai friends we only speak thai even many of them speak English well.

Well, isn't that normal? That you think: "omg there she goes with her present tense instead of the past tense again" and get slightly pissed off? I mean I know my gf knows how to use the past tense. She just doesn't.

Not very interested tbh in women from my home country.

IMO the problem is you. You don’t come over as a very nice person. If you loved her you would learn patience, and not act like a language examiner .

I have given up on communicating with a Thai gf.

I now keep chickens, they are superior when it comes to having common sense and communication also seems easier.

How's your sex life with them?

I mainly talk to my GF in Thai, she uses a mix of Thai and English.

If we get hung up on a word, she has a phone translator, I have Google Translate on my laptop.

Seems you are taking it easy and not getting angry etc.

Good attitude.

There are much more important things in life than misconstruing words. I think sometimes people just like to fight to prove the other person wrong - - as if that will give them some future points in the next argument or choice of sofa or something. I think couples fight for "hand" as in having the upper hand.

I am much better in Thai than my wife is at English and many other thing as well, but she is much better than I am at certain things too. She enjoys having power and a 'say so' in things. Why not? I want her to feel good too. Isn't that the general idea? To have a partner who feels good about being a part of the decision making process?

and besides, getting angry is not really cool here, maybe not anywhere?

Communication in English with Thai gf .

You know it sounds that you have a problem.

You just have to be not so  pedantic  and try to understand and just keep  saying.   Please Explain if you don't understand what she means/talks about .

I Know , i have to do that, Lady digger Can be Quit difficult to be understand  She leaves out words and saying wrong  she just thinks that I know what she's saying.

We can sit for a few minutes sometimes to work out What the Fek is going on or what she /me is talking about.

No good to get your Knickers in a knot ,this is Thailand,

Take it easy on yourself and your GF life is short .

I find though that as the relationship progresses, we seem to have more and more communication issues.

The same happened to me over and over again. Also in my home country, with girls who spoke my native language.

Never understood why...

Just a note … my wife speaks Thai into Google translate and Google speaks the English translation to me. Might help?

If google translate could put out perfect or close to the original then they would cease to be a need for anyone to study a foreign language.  I have seen some of those "translations and actually laughed though it isn't really funny.  But, to each his own but if one plans on a long time staying in this country then to obtain a better feel for the people one should learn to speak and understand the language well. MHO but who am I?

It seems to me that you are fluent in several languages, but you know nothing about women… A) If you believe in the love of a Thai woman, then you are really deluded…
