I see quite a few people complaining about buying tickets on AirAsia and then their cards immediately being hit with fraudulent charges in other countries.
Sounds like a right s*** show.
Not necessarily.
It's based on his ORIGINAL visa before annual extensions.
It will be either an O or an O-A visa.
If O, no insurance needed.
If O-A, insurance needed.
O is definitely better to the point where many people with O-As have started over with an O.
