Tourists Clash in Violent Street Fight on Bangla Road, Phuket

Recommended Posts

Seemed like pushing and shoving between two drunk farang while a Thai guy in a white shirt slapped the bejezus out of one of them.

Hardly the stuff to cause much alarm, in fact par for the course on Bangladeshi road.

Bitches or not, let's not overlook the fact that these FARANGS are criminals TOO 555 . . . . "underscoring the disregard for local laws"

Outside the "Oscar Live sports Bar" how apt

Does anyone know what nationality or nationalities were involved?  My guess would be Russian, but that's based solely on a blond woman and the proclivity of drunk Russians to get into fights.

Yet we hear almost daily reports of teens shooting or stabbing each other, I would think promoting slapping would be much preferred.

In a recent incident underscoring the disregard for local laws, tourists were caught in a physical altercation on Bangla Road in Patong, Phuket, leading to intervention from local residents.

On 10th December, a video surfaced on the "Hod Jang Phuket" Facebook page, showing a violent fight between foreign tourists on the bustling street.

The clip, lasting 18 seconds, quickly went viral, with the caption reading, "Going hard on Bangla Road, Patong!"

The incident unfolded in the lively Soi Bangla area, where tempers flared, resulting in the tourists exchanging blows until locals stepped in to separate them.

The video sparked a mix of reactions from social media users, with comments ranging from expressions of disbelief to humorous remarks. The episode has once again drawn attention to the challenges of maintaining order in Phuket’s popular nightlife district.

Racist?  roflmatinyo.gif.529254352faa015826507b964296482f.gif  I belong to the same race as most Russians, so racism can't be my motivation.  I guess (oops, again!) that I could be accused of indulging in national or ethnic stereotyping, but during the years I lived in Thaialnd, I saw countless violent encounters involving Russians.  To be sure, I saw the occasional fight involving Brits, Yanks, Norwegians, Italians, whatever, but far more times it was Russians.  Just my observation?

Are you being racist towards schoolgirls or just stereotyping them?

Wouldn't be Thailand if foreigners don't get into fights in girly bar areas:))

If you're in a girly bar no point fighting over the girl as they say you only miss your turn not you're chance

I think Bangla road is a mistake, it's something that was somehow never meant to be, or certainly never meant to be this bad!

I remember it 10 years ago and there was still some excitement to be had, and there were still some pretty hot girls. Now it's a blemish on the planet, a lot of old, unattractive, or fat girls, and just a few cute ones quoting absolutely silly prices. And the crowd, I have never seen such a low end crowd before.

Had a better fight trying to get my coat on.

This is absolutely diisgusting behaviour and must not be tolerated !!! It was 18 seconds of anarchy and mayhem in the streets of Phuket and the Military should be on standby in case it happens again and all the rioters must be arrested and given life in prison.!!

I still have many happy memories of Bangla road in the 90's unlimited pretty girls that had a good attitute and wanted fun times and the bars closed when the last customer staggered home.I went back 8 years ago and I agree it's nothing like it was.

My first time on the bangla 2005, we use to drink in the gonzo bar then walk down the tai pan nightclub,, caught my first dose in there, great times..

Rubbish. I spent a lot of time over many years in girly bar areas and never saw such.
