Popular Post webfact Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 Video screenshot In a bizarre turn of events in Phuket, a well-loved destination among British holidaymakers, a Russian tourist found himself in a peculiar standoff with local authorities while clad in nothing but his underwear. The incident, which unfolded on a seemingly tranquil shopping street, has since captured significant attention online. The tumultuous episode was captured in a video that's quickly gone viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, amassing over 200,000 views. The footage begins with Thai police escorting the forthright tourist, who's accompanied by a woman and children. The serene backdrop sharply contrasts the chaotic scene that ensues. Without warning, the tourist, who appears agitated, lashes out at officers, transforming the street into a flurry of activity. His family watches in distraught silence, broken only by the cries of one of the children. The situation escalates as the man, muscular and barefoot, begins confronting officers with a mix of shadow boxing and bewildering theatrics. Despite efforts by the officers to subdue him, including one policeman's attempt to mount his back, the tourist forcefully resists capture. What's perhaps most unexpected is when, mid-fracas, he charges towards a lone officer, prompting the policeman to make a tactical retreat. The spectacle ends abruptly as the tourist's companion rushes towards the unfolding melee. Speculation and humour have since erupted on social media regarding the video's authenticity, with one user quipping it resembled an '80s action film scene'. Local police have yet to release an official statement regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident or its aftermath. However, such events, while rare, underscore the unpredictable nature of policing tourist hotspots like Phuket—a city known for blending relaxation and vibrant night-life. Video screenshot As discussions swirl online, with comments ranging from amusement to concern, this unusual altercation highlights the sometimes-unexpected challenges faced by law enforcement in popular tourist destinations. Moreover, it serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting local laws and customs, even on holiday. While the specifics of the incident remain unclear, it's a vivid illustration of the colourful, occasionally chaotic interactions possible in bustling international hubs. For now, viewers remain curious and entertained, awaiting further details on this peculiar fracas, reported Daily Mail Online. -- 2024-12-12 1 1 38

Popular Post bannork Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 They should have tasered him at the least. A Belarus idiot out of control. He would have been shot in many countries. Lucky Thais are so tolerant. May he enjoy the cockroaches in his cell. 2 2 2 1 5 27

Popular Post SiSePuede419 Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 Makes perfect sense... When your body is accustomed to snow on your beach, of course Phuket is going to be ridiculously hot and you're going to want to wear the minimum. 😄 3

Popular Post spermwhale Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 I have to think that many Russians either those who have fled the country to avoid having to fight in the war or those who are still living there are all under a lot of stress. That stress piled on can make someone snap, especially if they already have some underlying mental illness. The fact that the guy was walking around in underwear is a clue to his mental state. Those are not swim trunks. He must be hell to live with. 4 5 5

Popular Post sqwakvfr Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 Someone that big and agitated means three wordsL Taser, Taser and Taser. Do police in Phuket have Tasers? If Tasers have no effect then the next step would be to draw, establish a good shooting stance, aim and "front sight and squeeze". Ideally at three rounds at center mass. Doubt talking to him will settle the matter. 1 2 3 5

Popular Post wensiensheng Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 I wouldn’t call it “bizarre”. More the sort of thing I expect from Russians from time to time. No mention of why a group of police happened to be escorting him at the time he went berserk. I would have thought THAT should be the point of the story, not that he simply resisted arrest. 1 1 1 1
Popular Post Karlik Pu Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 For Puti-Russians Thailand has become a safe heaven for money laundering, opening easily accounts ands get Visa/ Master cards in Thai banks , converting sanctioned criminal roubles into Thai baht and later in USD. Then they are purchasing huge amounts of properties and land ( via thai proxi) , most of new condo are sold to Russians not Chinese. Putinoid thugs are running illegally marihuana shops and rent a car business.restaurants, escort prostitution agency, have taken totally travel business from locals . They are establishing in Thailand lots of proxy companies dealing with illegal export /import of military equipment via Hongkong and UAE for puti-Russian army occupying Ukraine . The Putin mafia in Thailand , and it’s not a secret for everyone has establish powerful criminal net across the whole Thailand . And all that too liberal policy towards puti-Russians is threatening national security of Thailand. There is a risk that new elect -President Trump can impose also severy sanctions on financial sector of Thailand for support and cooperation of Putinstan in their barbaric war against Ukraine. Police should use electrical teasers against aggressive puti-russki or shoot in their buttons and deport to Putistan directlyv in storm brigade in Ukraine:) 1 1 1 1 2 7

phetphet Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 I thought the Thai police had those pitchfork type things that they use to herd unruly prisoners into submission. Maybe he had a few too many, but. after those two New Zealand guys attacking the cop in Phuket, they might want to punish him a bit more severely to discourage it happening again. 1
