GypsyT Posted Thursday at 04:39 AM Posted Thursday at 04:39 AM I buy too much because that's the way they sell cheaper. How can I keep them fresh longest? In a Fridge? Do they get watery? I haven't tried yet. 1
Popular Post dinsdale Posted Thursday at 05:16 AM Popular Post Posted Thursday at 05:16 AM Slice, dice, and freeze. Otherwise they should last in the fridge a good week depending on the ripeness. Green mangoes can sit outside of a fridge for a good couple of weeks and longer in the fridge. 1 2

marin Posted Thursday at 06:19 AM Posted Thursday at 06:19 AM Right now is about as far as you can get from sweet mango season. But if you like them sour you are fine. The Thai's often use a dip called Nam Pla Wan and dip the green mango before eating. 1
Will B Good Posted Thursday at 06:25 AM Posted Thursday at 06:25 AM Knee deep in them last year from three trees in the back garden.......this year.....zip?

When I pick it's often not ripe. When my Thai gf picks they are great! And to me both looked same... Thailand have SO MANY fruits! I try to learn. I know bananas pretty well. I love fresh fruits. 1 2

Interesting.....also found this.....could be....... as we were inundated last year..... Alternate Bearing Mango trees are known for alternate bearing, which means they produce fruit in cycles. If your tree had an exceptionally large crop last year, it may have depleted its energy reserves, leading to little or no fruit this year. Trees sometimes take a rest year to recover. 3 2 1 1

Let them sit there and decompose a bit then when you’re bored go out and stomp on them and pop the pits out, it’s pretty fun especially when you’re a little tot, I speak from experience. 1

Popular Post drvin Posted Friday at 08:01 AM Popular Post Posted Friday at 08:01 AM If you put mangoes n the fridge, you need to put them in the warmest part of the fridge . They should not be kept cold. Avoid wrapping them in plastic as mangoes give off ethylene gas which will ripen them very quick if enclosed should keep at about 10-12 degrees I spent my whole life in the produce industry, so I do consider myself an expert 1 1 1
