Apparently, Massad is Palestinian. He made his comments on some unknown niche website. Now the media has blown it up into national news. The radicals should be ignored not highlighted.
Talked to a local realtor that has been making decent to good money the last years: business slowed down somewhat earlier this year and the remittance tax was said the reason by the customers; now the market has come to an halt. She tells me that 80-90% of customers enticed to buy use the remittance tax to not go ahead.
As explained, I am working in a country where I am not eligible to get a Thai visa and as it seemed to be common knowledge that VE's were unlimited, I think I made a reasonable choice. I get leave on a monthly basis so visiting my wife is the obvious thing to do with it. Even if I wasn't married surely just holiday trips should have been fine too. I have visited several other countries in the region very regularly with no issues at all.
I understand the emotions involved in these matters but the death penalty isn't justice - it's revenge and retribution. No government should be carrying out revenge against their own citizens.
