A 23-year-old warehouse worker lost her life in a motorcycle crash early morning on December 18, after colliding with the rear of a parked container truck. The accident occurred at 00:15 in front of the MG warehouse on Khlong Song Nam Suvarnabhumi Road in Bang Sao Thong Subdistrict, Bang Sao Thong District.

At the scene, police discovered a blue Yamaha Q-Bix motorcycle, license plate number from Bangkok, severely damaged at the front and lodged into the rear of a parked container truck. Nearby, the body of Ms. Natcha Yodkanha, 23, was found lying on her back. She had suffered a fatal forehead wound and showed no signs of life.

A friend of the deceased, who had been riding another motorcycle behind her, recounted the events leading up to the crash. The two had been returning to their accommodations after spending the evening socialising and drinking together. As they were riding along the road, another vehicle passed by in the opposite direction. Suddenly, Ms. Natcha’s motorcycle veered to the left and crashed into the rear of the parked trailer. The friend immediately stopped to check on her, only to find that she was unresponsive.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, including examining the parked truck and the road conditions at the time.

The body of Ms. Natcha has been sent for autopsy, and her family has been informed.

Never stops...rear ending parked trucks seems to be an occupational hazard here.....nothing to do with dark visors...texting on phones....being pissed....and of course there's the tales of how the accidents happened by witnesses....

Natural selection at work.

R.I.P to the lady.

Another blind at work. Now work ended permanently.

This seems to happen every day. I know the death rate on Thai roads is off the chart but speeding into the back of a parked lorry is exceptionally careless.

Sadly, Thais seem to often choose overtaking rather than breaking, often without paying much attention to what is going on around them.  Add alcohol and probably no helmet...

I'll bet no motorcycle license either.
