Easy!

Just offer familiar street food on the flight laden with "Delhi Belly" and charge each passenger extra for a "cleaning fee" to clean up the bathroom after they use it. 😲

A flight to Thailand turned into a scene of mid-air mayhem, sparking outrage online after a viral video showcased the unruly behaviour of Indian passengers.

Shared by Ankit Kumar, a content creator aboard the Thai AirAsia flight, the footage reveals groups of Indian men standing in the aisle, chatting loudly, snacking, and blatantly ignoring air hostesses’ repeated requests to return to their seats.

Social media erupted after the video, captioned with the sentiment that such antics “bring a bad name to the country,” amassed over 29,000 likes and millions of views. Many users expressed embarrassment over their compatriots’ conduct.

“Money doesn’t get you class!”

“We should never defend such behaviour. It tarnishes India’s image globally.”

Comments poured in from Indians both at home and abroad, highlighting a pattern of poor manners in public spaces.

“I’m half Indian, living in Germany, and this is common—loud talking, blocking train exits, and even playing music on phones without headphones.”

“They’ve turned the flight into a train or bus. This plane hasn’t even landed, and it’s already chaos!”

The incident reignited discussions about civic sense and cultural etiquette. Some users criticised the lack of accountability.

“This is why Bharat remains a third-world country. Stop blaming the government.”

This is not an isolated case. A similar complaint came from a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) who shared on Reddit how Indian passengers on a Munich to Delhi flight caused chaos with loud conversations and disregard for fellow travellers, reported Odisha TV India.

What do you expect from people who until that moment only used busses and trains in India?

How racist.  What class do you think you belong to? Dalit maybe???

I recently flew with Air India from Swampy to Delhi and it was the worst flight that I have even been on .

80 % of the passengers were groups of Indian "Uncles" , different groups of 10-20 men and they all seemed to be returning for a week in Pattaya .

They just couldn't sit still , it was constant commotion and noise , moving about and calling the steward relentlessly .

I was in the aisle seat and as soon as we landed, before the plane even stopped , the India guy next to me asked me whether I was just going to just  sit there and not get off the place . I told him  that we couldn't get off the plane until the doors had opened and that would be about another ten minutes , but he was insistent that he wanted to stand in the aisle waiting for the doors to open

Somewhere, there's an Indian guy complaining about how constrained he was on a flight because nobody was allowed to get up and chat and have fun.  It is a holiday, after all.

In my observation they must be among the most unhealthy air passengers i have encountered by the number requiring wheel chairs to board  flights, but strangely on reaching their destination are able to disembark quite briskly.

Many abuse the system. Little grasp of English, some elderly, their families simply put them down as needing wheel chair assistance. This automatically means they get taken to their gate and onto the plane, despite having no such issues walking up.

It's abused massively, and i am surprised no one ever makes an issue out of it.

Old Indian guy blasting heavy metal music from his portable loudspeaker.

Where?

In a small town in Canada, walking late morning with his friend along the lakefront promenade, going fishing.

Go for it l. We sat on the floor drinking vodka on a Royal Brunei flight from Heathrow to Dubia. Never  once was questioned. It's amazing how judgmental half indians can be to their fellow natives.

Thai AirAsia   is extremely racist towards Indians on their flights coming from India to Bangkok.

Never questioned? Did you ask yourself... am I being an inconsiderate a*hole "?

Obviously not. How are other passengers supposed to get about the plane?

I don't think anyone who sits on the floor drinking vodka has such worries...

Same as some hotels......half dozen rooms booked on one floor, all the doors left open and the corridor just becomes a communal living space.....kids running riot or gangs of men loitering.

We cancelled our room and checked out of the A1 in Pattaya.....it was bedlam.

I've had the misfortune at various times to be on planes loaded with Chinese, Afghans, Nigerians and Indians and the majority of all of them act like self entitled pr1cks with no regard for anyone other than themselves. I'd put them all in the same boat but, I'd say the Nigerians edge it! Even the Emirates staff detested the Lagos to Dubai flight!

I'm surprised the Captain didn't turn the plane around due to the safety aspect. A large number of passengers were badly injured, even paralysed on a flight recently over Myanmar when it hit an air pocket. imagine if the particular flight had also hit one. Who would get the blame for all the casualties? The airline.

Last year I was on an Easyjet flight from Gatwick to Antalya and just the same, except the passengers were Brits.

Can anyone explain to me why Thailand has introduced a visa free policy for Indians? No other country has done so.

The vast majority are just horrific tourists, low spenders, who turn away quality tourists.

In Pattaya their behaviour is border line abuse to Thai women. They are sex pests out there - 6 of them onto 1 vulnerable Thai lady. They view every woman as a prostitute, even normal ladies. Their sex drive is just of the scale out there.

Immediate visa restrictions, with fees need putting back up. The irony is, India doesn't even let Thai's in visa free (Despite their economy per person being 3 times worst off).

Being a sex pest is cultural entitlement for most of them

I wonder if any of the idiots were sitting on the roof or the wings  as they do on trains in India.

They would have been the quiet ones onboard.

At least till they lost their grip    :shock1:

Sad to say , this reminds me of my Eva Air flight back to Thailand last year. Full of overweight mongers on their way to party in Pattaya.

They just would not stay in their seats despite air hostesses asking nicely. I had a seat by the emegency exit for the legroom but the area in front of me turned into a meeting place. Never had this on Eva Air before but with BA no longer flying LHR to BKK the plane was completely full. Might try an alternative airline next trip or maybe I was just unlucky.

I had a flight like that between San Diego and LAX one time.  Everyone was up and chatting, but the stewardesses were up pouring champagne and and chatting with the rest of us.  That was the most fun flight that I've ever taken.
