Worth every penny. The first condo we bought in Bangkok was about 800 meters from the Phetchaburi MRT stop. We thought, '800 meters, well I guess it's not that far. And, the condo does have a shuttle bus to take you to the station.'
After riding the subway and walking around all day, yes, it was way too far--and the shuttle bus never seemed to be running when we needed it. Sold that condo and bought another one that's just a 2-minute walk to the same station. Much better!
well, he needs to chain his table and chairs so they can't be moved, and just stick a paper sign up saying chairs and table not allowed to be moved from this balcony.
Just picking up on the last sentence.....excellent idea.
The condo we lived in, in BKK, had finger print entry for the pool, gym, cinema, pool room, library, functions room......you could only access them if you had a contract exceeding 30 days...helps keep the riffraff out.
Reason #28365533 to never buy a condo here (I'm a 2-time idiot in that respect).
The condo management can put up all the "Rentals under 30 days are illegal" signs they want, nothing is ever (or very rarely) enforced when push comes to shove, or it is dealt with super late.
You actually have a point about this generation dressing
Years ago 30 years ago when I used to catch the bus to work, the bus drivers always wore collared shirts with ties and shorts with long socks and polished shoes
Nowadays I see bus drivers with shirts hanging out and socks down to their ankles wearing black Nike runners !
