I absolutely love Survivor US, and just finished season 47. Craving for more, I checked if UK ever produced this show, only to find that there are only 3 seasons. Does that mean it is not worth watching?

I'm surprised 47 seasons in 20 years. I don't mind a bit of crap TV from time to time, I thought Channel 4's Alone was worth a watch along the same lines as survivor.

A friend of mine recommended Strike Back. It follows the actions of a secretive British military intelligence unit all over the world. It comprises 8 seasons. So far I'm up to season 7 episode 8 and have found the series enjoyable and entertaining. All seasons are on TGx.

I stopped at S6, and first couple episodes was enough, as went down hill fast.  Didn't realize there was a 7 & 8.  Didn't warm up the the new folks in S6.  I read the original 2 come back for a guest appearance in E10.

Great show exceot for season 1. I'd advise skipping that as it might give you the wrong impression of the series.

The  change in cast was a bit bumpy, as it took them a season it grow into their roles. After that, though, it returned to greatness.

Kalak (movie)

It felt the right time to watch the first Greenlandic content movie that I've even seen.

A quite interesting quirky story of a Danish male nurse with a back story of sexual abuse by his father working in Greenland with his family but also into a lot of open relationship affairs with the locals. Based on the opening scene alone -- not for children. The scene where he talks to a doctor who is a connoisseur of pharmaceuticals is a true classic and no doubt reflects a dark reality of some in the health industry. You get a real sense of place (Greenland) from the movie, not so much about outdoor scenes but more about indoor culture.

The meaning of Kalak is dirty Greenlander which is used both positively and negatively.
