In an interview broadcast earlier on Sunday, Farage told the BBC that the fact that Musk "supports me politically and supports Reform doesn't mean I have to agree with every single statement he makes".

 

Elon Musk's response didn't take long to wait: In a post on his social media site X, Musk wrote "The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn't have what it takes" - but did not explain his reasoning.

I welcomed Musk's support of reform and the  promise of financial support for the Reform  party. and Farage in particular. 

His support was one reason hundreds of people enrolled to join Reform in recent weeks. 

 

Why he should withdraw his support for Farage and demine him in such a way is a mystery to me. 

It now seems the people who critisised  Musk's involvement  from the outset Views that i took exception too where in fact correct all along. 

How Will Musk's opposition to Farage effect Farage's relationship with President elect Trump i wonder.

Next, ole Elon will start banning or removing the verified check mark from Reform Twitter/X accounts that disagree with him. Just like he did all the anti-H1B accounts in the US. Elon Musk in all truth is a poorly educated human being. He's done wonders with SpaceX, which I applaud, but he's just a science fiction nerd who probably hasn't read a real book in ages. His entire world is imaged by reading Twitter/X.

The suggestion is that Farage's stance......'Reform doesn't want the likes of Tommy Robinson tainting the Party'.....has irked the First Lady.....who has thrown his Teddy out and wants Lowe to lead reform....even though he's never met the guy???

First of all well done for admitting you were wrong. You don't see it often on this forum so it should be applauded. However, how you didn't see this coming is also a concern. Musk (like most billionaires) is self-serving, egotistical and has a warped view of his own self-importance - a messiah complex if you will. Characters like him see themselves as above everyone else in both intelligence and status, imagining they are playing 3D chess whilst the rest of us are still playing checkers, even though the game is backgammon. 

This annoying trait has been massively applified by his purchase of X where he now has the whole world listening to his ill-informed rants and politicians toddying to him constantly. This inflated self-importance makes for an uneasy bedfellow as ol' farage has now found to his detriment as you cannot control a person like Musk who can out-money you and out-shout you on his platform.

I think, until Trump decides enough is enough, he'll continue to go down reasonably well with the MAGA crowd (ignoring the visa fiasco). The Yanks seem to like loud, brash "I speak my mind, even though I'm stupid' kind of folks.

 

As far as the UK goes, I doubt he will receive a warm reception from many......possibly the Reform voters with dollar sings in their eyes.

 

Interfering in UK politics will not endear him to many from any political party.
