It’s getting better and better with each post.

99% here have never experienced what you have.

Think there’s a reason why?

I'm mostly outside during the night time. I prefer the cooler weather and the easier traffic. Most other people outside during daytime.

Are you saying you live a nocturnal life, sleeping in the daytime and wandering the streets of Pattaya all night, because it's cooler?  🤨

So you handed over your phone ?

I'm guessing you were "in their face" filming so they chose you otherwise if you were at a distance they wouldn't of came over to you

You did the right thing however, in both filming and unfortunately handing over your phone because you would/could of been assaulted.

I don't know the answer

Stop guessing, you are not good at it.

Wrong. I don't hand over anything to anyone, phone and passport included.  I don't give my passport to hotels, I show it to them and have a copy ready.

Where were the police during all of this?

A group of security guards (thugs) have beaten up a man, stamped on his head etc...  they think you may have filmed - and want to check your phone and delete any record...  You refuse to hand over your phone !!...   Sure you would 'Chuck Norris' !!! :giggle:

You go to a hotel and refuse to hand over your passport and ALWAYS have a photo-copy...  Of course you !!! :whistling:

The BS some folk post on here is hilarious...

Never go in a bar with a gang of male security guards. The slightest dispute and you will get a kicking. Take your business elsewhere.

Exactly, and they call them "guards", what am I in prison? I take it further, I won't go in a gogo with predominantly all male waiters

Baccara used, not sure if they still do

Should be called mobster goons. When they demanded our phones it really felt like mafiosos in their prime.

John Gotti is dead and his underboss Sammy the Bull is in Arizona making UTube videos.

I would consider them real Mafia.  Not some security guard.

If the OP felt like he was threatened and has PTSD, then why not go down to the police station to file a complaint as there is clearly CCTV outside Tops pointing at the street that likely captured the whole ordeal. Even if the cops won't do much, at least it will capture attention by local Pattaya news outlets and bring unwanted attention to the bar which those guards work at.

I was just on Walking Street a few days ago and there was nothing, no fights, nobody accosted me, not even the prostitutes standing outside the venues, I was quite disappointed. A very tame street.

Walking street felt more like a touristy road in Spain, Magalluf maybe, apart from the menus they thrust in your face.

If anyone in Pattaya again boasts on here about the quality of women in Pattaya I will just laugh in their face though, the working girls were just as old and unappealing as in Chiang Mai. Even the Russians.

Agreed. I was in Pattaya a year ago - first time since 2014 - I found the 'talent' anything but appealing. Real rough stuff. Not nice at all.

I haven't been in walking street in 6 months even I live in Pattaya. I don't drink and have never been in a bar in Pattaya.

Some tips. Don’t go to Walking street or Soi 6 or anywhere similar. You don’t drink, go to a nice coffee shop or hotel bar and have a fruit cocktail.
Dont go out that late !! Why non earth are you walking around places like that at 4 am. No wonder you have PTSD.

I don't think I would incite issues by getting my phone out to record events like  this. I also doubt I would hand my phone over to some rent a cop to do as he pleases with... they do not have that authority.

Second thoughts....on my phone deleting a video or pic simply marks it for later deletion and it can be recovered in a given time limit.

Seen similar happen in a GGB where some idiot was sneakily recording inside.
