I think a lot of these incidents are caused by abrupt undertaking manoeuvres. They move to the inside / hard shoulder to get past whatever is in lane 2 / lane 1 without looking first what is in the inside lane / hard shoulder they are moving to. They are then going 60 kmh + and have absolutely nowhere to go faced with the back of a truck.
Phones, alcohol, speeding, tiredness or a combination of these and undertaking also all play their part.
Oh they take it very seriously - further exposure, criticism and the truth about what actually happened will leave some very important people indeed exposed.
Police and politicians are determined to maintain the cover up, at all costs.
Unfortunate you meet expats all over the country who came with a dream, and now realize not only their currency is as strong as it used to be, but prices for food and entertainment makes life a bit more difficult to enjoy life. Less socializing, more lifestyle issues, and what about partners?
Jomtien is not the worst place, and for normal people it is easy to get around and enjoy a simple life, but you need to maintain an healthy mind to live not only in Pattaya, but anywhere you want to retire.
There is no easy escapes being an expat in Thailand.
Yeah agree - the penalties here are pretty harsh but he must have known that, its a class B in the UK so he'd probably have got some time there. Should count himself lucky he never had anything heavier on him. Reckon the baggies probably sealed it for him might have got away with a slap if it was personal.
Well great news for this British idiot,,,, he will get out prison speaking fluent Thai, lost all that fat around his gut and hopefully the guards will have beaten some brains into him,,,, Looser.....
Yeah, I've always followed the rule of driving only fast enough for what I can see and safely stop for in front of me, here they see a dangerous situation happening and they speed up in to it......Mind boggling!
