Photos of destruction as a result of the incompetent world leader & his party

Democrats blame the L.A. blazes on the changing climate, which is a convenient excuse as citizens rage against the failures of state and local government. The evidence doesn’t support the climate explanation since (among other reasons) California has had a dry climate and Santa Ana winds, even with hurricane-force gusts on occasion, for centuries. If the Democrats who run the state believe their own advertising, why not spend money in useful ways rather than on a green-energy transition to nowhere?

The Governor’s budget last year included $2.6 billion for “forest and wildfire resilience”—far less than the $14.7 billion provisioned for zero-emission vehicles and its “clean energy” transition. California’s $100 billion bullet train and offshore wind turbines will do nothing to prevent fires or protect communities. Rooftop solar subsidies are no consolation for people who lose their homes.

Pineapple fields are usually nice and safe except in Hawaii.  Honolulu's mayor is planning on opening a landfill in the middle of one.

We're surrounded by pineapple & coconut farms.

One reason I didn't retire at the places I was familiar with in the USA.  FL would have been 1st choice, if not for hurricane season.

West coast too expensive (CA), or rainy (OR & WA).  Caribbean Islands, back to hurricane season.  Canada & N. USA ... too cold.  Not really a fan of the Gulf.   Bays on Gulf of TH are prettier.

Prefer to be near the surf, though disappointed with the diving in TH, and mediocre at best.  Took a while to get to PKK, but fits us perfectly.  Where we went and ended up mostly on holiday anyway.  If not here, PKK, then would have been further South, among the 'limestone' hills.  Except daughter settled at Krung Thep, so only 4 hrs.

Was at Hua Hin yesterday ... HELL NO.  Don't know why, only 100 kms north, but air worse, and the congestion was a joke.  Took the wife 15 mins to leave PEA, get into the mess, make a U-turn, and pick me up ... all of about 700 meters  :w00t: :cheesy:

On Topic ... Fire area would scare the hell out of me, as too unpredictable, and insurance rates, same as flood & typhoon areas would be silly high, if they even cover you.

Maga doesn't want to talk about climate change. So we get this kind of idiocy.

Idiocy?  Please explain how talking about climate change would have helped California.  Gavin Newsom talked a lot about it.  How did that go?

So how would your love muffin prevented all of this? Sweep the forests? Hold up his tiny hand to stop 100 mph winds?

He ain't no god, but you cult members are so easily fooled that you think so.

MAGAs get sillier and sillier by the day.

Maybe he wouldn't have cut the fire dept budget by $17m and put a DEI hire in charge of it. There's more.

Love the way this guy thinks he's got a great point with his "What would Trump have done?", without even knowing the extent to which the Dems have made the situation worse.  Literally no idea what is happening, but speaks confidently and gets in a misplaced "MAGA bad" dig as well.

It's great to see these ninnies instantly shut down.

Absolutely not....one of my real concerns, politics aside is......whatever happened to role models???

He has to be the most horrendous example you could put forward to the human race of what boys might aspire to.

All that matters are results. Joe Biden was a fine gentleman, not a president

That statement is concerning.......the impact Trump has/will have on young males in particular, could/will last for generations.......and it will be women and minorities, in the main, that suffer the consequences.

Role models are staggeringly important to society as a whole.

Women have more power in this country than anywhere in the world. They are also the least grateful of any women in the world
