That’s a thin definition of foreign interference. Musk is in any case appointed as a member of the incoming US administration.    We also now know he has a willing little helper in Gollum lo

The kind of rightwing press misrepresentation of facts that plays well to those who don’t understand the second reading of a  Bill is not an opportunity to add amendments.

It is however the last opportunity to kill the Bill, which is precisely what Badenoch instructed her MPs to do:

Labour has a large majority the vote was  symbolic, I already gave you a link on this. It was done to keep the pressure up to get a new National Enquiry.

As for the continuing pressure.

Starmer open to U-turn on grooming gangs inquiry, Downing Street says

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/starmer-grooming-gangs-inquiry-badenoch-musk-b2675866.html

That's the headline, the article however:

Sir Keir’s spokesperson said they would “reject” claims it was a U-turn, instead saying the government was pursuing a “victims-first approach”.

How fortunate...........

Does it need to be more obvious than that?

Good, because communism ALWAYS fails the people.

Did he really ? Have you got a link to that, seeing as you like to ask others for links.

Here is the reality from the BBC

Note who the head of  the CPS was, ultimately responsible for the decision not to proceed with the prosecution.

This guy brought the first prosecution

He told Starmer, the head of the CPS to wind his neck in and he was prosecuting.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgn2wvxx5qo

Starmer, as the Head of CPS and DPP, did not know that the CPS were prosecuting Sub Postmasters.

2 massive scandals that both Labour and  Starmer are neck deep in.

From your linked article:

“We have been unable to find any direct criticism of Sir Keir personally in any of the reports on the scandal, nor can we identify any suggestions that he himself made any decisions not to prosecute.”

I wouldn’t, but that’s not stopping you imagining stuff.

Elon Musk's recent tweets on his social media platform, X, are reportedly under examination by the UK Government's counter-extremism officers. This intensified monitoring follows a series of inflammatory posts by Musk, the world's richest man, targeting the UK Government and its handling of grooming gangs. The Mirror reported that the Home Office unit is closely analyzing Musk's messages to assess the potential risks they pose to Britain.

Back in the days of newspaper barons like William Randolph Hearst, owners of media corporations would routinely write op-eds about a variety of issues including criticizing the actions or inactions of governments.
So the current brouhaha by the UK government is really a testament of the utter collapse of the Brit government into nascent totalitarianism.  Musk is simply reflecting the hypocrisy of the UK government which is literally covering up and explicitly condoning the crimes of people if they fit a certain class of "minorities" while throwing average UK citizens, especially if they are white Anglo citizens, into jail for pointing out the crimes and the government's hypocrisy and refusal to prosecute the crimes. Totalitarians "chill" the speech and actions of the public by threatening them with prison if they dare to speak out against criminal behavior which is condoned by that same government.  And the UK government is now dead-set on "chilling" the speech of the owner of one of the few free speech oriented media platforms that currently exist.
Can you imagine a government going after
William Randolph Hearst for his op-eds?  It's essentially what the UK government is attempting to do to Musk, as well as any other member of the public who dares criticizes the government's protection of sub-classes of criminals in their country.
Pedophiles, rapists, and grooming gangs are an unconscionably blight on society.  Any government official who condones that kind of criminality should be removed from power as they are complicit in the continuation of those criminal acts.

“That decision was overturned later by Nazir Afzal in 2011 after being appointed by Sir Keir as the CPS chief prosecutor for north-west England.”

If the buck stops at the head, then so does the credit.

You can’t have it both ways.

"Elon Musk's recent tweets on his social media platform, X, are reportedly under examination by the UK Government's counter-extremism officers."

Why don't they knock on his door a 2 am and arrest him, like they did with others that have posted on X and Facebook etc?????

I would very much like to see them try, they would get much more than they bargained for!......🤣

I know he's wealthy, but he should still be looking to get his money back re: Ozempic.....it seems he got a dodgy batch.

So the UK police have time and resources to investigate Elon Musk posting on X, but they did not have time and resources to investigate the Pakistani muslim grooming gangs? In fact the covered it up and ignore it! Together with some MP's.

The 'cover up' is now all over social media and Elon must be thanked for helping it be exposed, again!

You can relax.....it's not the police monitoring Musk's posts.

The Home Office’s counter-extremism unit, which is part of the Homeland Security Group, is monitoring Musk's posts and it is not part of the UK police force. It is a government department responsible for advising and supporting policies related to national security and counterterrorism, rather than direct law enforcement.

His attitude seems logical to me.

It's definitely not a 'good look' when the failings and racism against white Brits by successive UK governments and local authorities have to be pointed out to them by a public figure living overseas....

Who in turn should keep his nose out of others countries business and concern himself with his adopted countries business.

AFAICS he, nor his business, is welcomed in the UK or the EU.

Being rich does NOT automatically allow you the right to interfere.

Fair enough, but my point remains valid. Time and resource are being spent on this molehill, whilst other important matters are ignored. Even if the counter extremism find 'something' there is not a fat lot they can do?

If I take that at face value as being true, then Labour have no right to complain about anyone interfering in the UK.

And for that matter, he's been banning people on Twitter who disagree with him and tweaking the algorithm to boost those who do.

I'd go as far as to say it's a mass propaganda campaign simply because he has some beef with Starmer.

Yes great...not nice being banned or having tweets reported when it's done to lefty wokey idiots..good on him
