I have a Krungsri debit card with VISA , I was assured at the bank that it can be used to buy anything anywhere on line or in a shop.

First time of using it is with Amazon Kindle , I have used Amazon Kindle quite a lot so I understand the shopping procedure , but for some reason it won't accept my VISA card.

Any body having a similar problem specifically with a Krungsri card ?

I had the same with my Kasikorn card. Couldn't use it online. But I had to register with "verified by Visa". Having done that no problems.  Maybe a similar issue.

Look at this thread.  There's a few banks mentioned and Krungsri is one of them, with a potential explanation on the second page if Amazon use KBank as their processor.

Verified by Visa was done at the bank the day I collected the card.

Using this web page tells me The debit card with specified card number has been registered. You cannot register this debit card again.

Have you checked settings in the app or online? usually you can on/off, change certain features

I have checked them on the app. What I am not sure of is the option of  " masking my account / card number " is that just for the phone display ?

and the other is " Request NCB " which is to do with Credit I believe .
Everything else appears okay.

Verified Visa , OTP unlocked .

I will have to take a long trip to the bank to try get it sorted if nothing changes today.

I'd call their customer service line before that.  I have always found Thai banks very helpful and often better informed/more capable than the branch staff.

I can not buy anything from Amazon with my Krungsri debit card. When i asked at the bank they said Amazon doesn't accept Thai bank cards !!

Thanks for that , that has saved me from a long trip for nothing.
The reason that Amazon gives via email , is that they cannot verify my card .

Which I thought was strange as it is verified by VISA .

Used my Krungsri DEBIT card in USA 1 year ago, in September, at my US bank, for cash with no problems.
