"A foreign man has been arrested after allegedly threatening his Thai wife and child with a firearm and forcing them into a vehicle."

Obviously not a Brit then otherwise the nationality would have been mentioned!

(P.S. The headline does mention Swiss - maybe another rich p**t who thinks he can do as he likes with total disregard for any one else?)

...or you could read the whole report!

Hold on a minute - didn't they legalise this in some way for small quantities which they didn't appear to actually have on them.

If you can carry around small quantities of this stuff then how can it be illegal to have consumed it?

No, possession of small amounts of meth was not legalised.  Even if that had been the case. driving while under the influence of meth is illegal and I'd guess that being in charge of a child while intoxicated under the circumstances of the OP probably wouldn't go down well with the courts, either.

The drive took a sour turn when accusations were exchanged: the husband accused his wife of being romantically involved with another man.

He should trust his instincts and move on

A bit harsh that considering your profile says you live in Phuket - everyone is perfect down there 555

You just haven't found Isaan yet (not Isan please get it right) probably because you are too judgemental by the sound of things and the misses doesn't think you could handle it yet 😉

"You just haven't found Isaan yet (not Isan please get it right)" -   Stop being so Pompous PomPolo! :-

From AI :-The northeastern region of Thailand is called Isan, but it is also written as Isaan, Issan, Isarn, Esan, or Esarn

From Wikipedia :-Northeastern Thailand or Isan (Isan/Thai: อีสาน, pronounced [ʔīː.sǎːn] ; Lao: ອີສານ, romanizedĪsān; also written as Isaan, Isarn, Issarn, Issan, Esan, or Esarn; from Pāli 𑀇𑀲𑀸𑀦 isāna or Sanskrit ईशान्य īśānya "northeast")[4] consists of 20 provinces in northeastern Thailand.  .

🙂 Accept my spelling statement was wrong, apologies

But felt the need to defend "Isan" 🙂

Hi bum, AI, really?? I'm just not to the point of trusting AI until I know that it won't show me images of America’s founding fathers depicted as black folk or Ancient Greek warriors as Asian women and men.  And Wikipedia is open source... people can put anything they want (if you've got their codes). Personally, I've no idea of the exact transliterated spelling from อีสาน is to British, American (that includes Canada) or Australian English, but have always seen it as Isaan, except on aseannow forum, who prefer that you spell it Isan.  😆🤣 (How about we all just settle on the Northeast?)

Am somewhat amazed this guy continues to drive at speed with this woman attempting to exit the vehicle. Surely he should have had the brains to pull over and sort the situation out than to possibly endanger other road users which fortunately did not occur.

They both seem to be idiots.

Maybe she's pulled this bat<deleted> crazy stuff before? Sounds like counselling is needed but there's only so much that shots of lao khao can do.

Oops, looks like they have "pain" issues and are self-medicating.

As Fred Flintstone famously advised, "Yaba daba do!"

No plomplem - there are various ways of spelling it, but they all sound the same! 🙂

P.S. My wife is from Esan there too!

Gawd, gunpoint, yaba, driving, oh nothing unusual.

All the lowlife foreigners here these days, it's to be expected.
